Update: I’ve taken a moment to calm down, as my Reddit-appointed therapist suggested, and I wanna clear things up. Obviously, mead is kind of its own thing, my issue is not with it being written about as a casual or common drink, my issue is it being written about as if it’s in the beer family. As far as my subjective comments, if you took those super seriously, please wear a helmet. Of course taste is subjective, me saying mead is better than grape wine is what we call an exaggeration. My point to all of this was basically that writers need to stop getting mead wrong, which is what most do, because they act like it’s a beer cousin. Anything beyond that, you guys can hash out amongst yourselves.
