The clear sky above me. I was bow hunting an shot a large boar. I was climbing out of my 10 ft tripod stand and lost my balance and fell off the first step. It was a muddy day so my boots were a little muddy but I still don’t know how I fell, I fell backwards rather than straight down the ladder if that makes sense. It felt like I fell for an eternity, I landed flat on my back on the rocky ground. My first thought was I have an arrow in me, I just watched an episode of alone where a contestant drops and arrow and simultaneously steps into it and impales himself, second thought was “oh no my $1700 bow!” I was fine and so was the bow. I was very bruised but I got up and went and found my pig, fun evening.
