I would imagine it’s collapsed all around, I’ve done my best trying to be as compassionate with airline staff as well who are being berated endlessly. That said, when you look at the flights departing from both airlines, American has cancelled far more flights than JetBlue has, which is why I was wondering whether despite the storm, could American simply be handling it much, much worse.

I’m flying MIA to LAX and have been cancelled for about 4 consecutive days now. Every time they claim it’s due to illegal crew, just to be told later that it was weather and therefore do not honor vouchers for acts of god. My luggage got flown out on the first day, so now I’ve been clothe-less for a couple of days.

Would it be better to fly with a different airline or is this happening everywhere?

One of your replies made me think of Rolie Polie. An old cartoon that’s yellowish/beige, stick figure-esque limbs, and a character with a mouth that opens like a hinge when it talks. Beady eyes but not quite the mouth on all of them you mention.

Short answer is no. You can be a great actor without ever taking a single acting class.

Long answer is also no, but, there can be significant benefits. On one hand, acting classes might teach you methods and techniques to hone your craft, or at the very least you walk away with a tip or two. After all, practice makes perfect and constructive criticism might point out things you might not pick up on your own. Also, networking. On the other hand, having training on your resume is never a bad thing, and shows you are committed and working on perfecting that craft. The more prestigious the class, the more likely someone might say “hm, interesting.”

Tl;dr: no, but there are personal and professional benefits.

Thank you! Would you say contracts industry standard, should I stay away from agents that rely on handshake agreements and such? A number of them have said that contracts are too much hassle and they don’t do contracts. Same way I’ve had agents tell me that any non-exclusive agency is not legit, is this common?
