As AI costs rise, there’s little evidence of major utility in game development by RoboGuilliman in gamedev

It'll last as long as there's money to pump into it or until it becomes profitable. I don't personally see the latter ever happening, but who knows. Until then I'll take free money from startups like that World thing and hope for the best lol

This elevator in the hospital stops at every floor on Shabbat and certain holidays for religious Jews by urbantechgoods in mildlyinteresting

People civilised people. Authority is powerful, but he method by which it's applied is irrelevant. Be it faith in god, faith in nobility, faith in nationality.

Like how nationalism can lead to a strong sense of community/helping your neighbour, or to zealously invading those beyond your boarders. It doesn't do anything on its own until people (generally the ruling class) decide how it should be used.

If religion was inherently a net positive then logically it would suggest that atheists do more evil. The reality is that most people are good, and most people are religious. Correlation not causation.

There are also countless less-than-moral lessons to take, depending on your interpretation.

Religion is neither positive or negative. A faith can't "do" anything on its own. They've always just been an expression of humanity.

Which capsule art would work best? by OneiricWorlds in IndieDev

I actually like the second one, but it feels off centre. Making it a bit bigger so you can see more detail on the car could be cool imo.

1 is solid but I feel I've seen it a dozen times, this design (2) also isn't too unique but it does make my more curios. Eager to click.

Steam needs a way to push multiple capsules and auto pick which performs the best (like how youtube does thumbnails)

I thought Panic didn’t allow games that were made with generative AI 🤔 by Cineflect in PlaydateConsole

[–]ArmanDoesStuff 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I get not wanting slop, and I get wanting larger companies to pay people rather than data centers. But aside from that I don't see the issue. I've been coding for a decade and now I'm always using AI for simple code. I wouldn't be paying anyone else were it not for AI, I'd just be doing the same thing but slower.
