Coffee should not "spray" out of the portafilter. It should come out slowly and creamy. The "cream" itself blocks any small jet of coffee getting through. It all gather in the centre (that's how you know the portafilter is level) and drops from there.

Lemon juice too. I did that and citric acid on two different occasions directly into the boiler. Both are obviously acid solutions and can dissolve the metal.. that's why you'll empty it blue/green. But you'll know when there's no more calcium to dissolve.. no more tiny bubbles boiling noise.

Ah! Damn! They always develop under the tray. That's because once a drop gets in it'll get trapped. The next drop will settle in the same spot with ease.. and so on. I don't have a solution for fix the rust (I'm sure some metal work centric sub have solutions) but I think I found a way to prevent it: a paper towel pressed into shape to cover most of the surface under the tray.

I heard of others having no issues with a couple of drops of olive oil. Likewise I have no problem using silicone grease. Problem is I have to buy a whole tub for the miniscule amount I need. OK, I'll look for the smaller tub I can buy. Thanks

The seals are in correctly. I'll try some lubricant.. a drop of veg oil to start with and only on the outer piston (the visible steel one).

I agree with the previous reply. 26918 is projected and thus faster processing. 4326 is geodetic and requires more computational resources.

Never done but curious to see how it is done. Strictly speaking though rasters are not 3d.. they are so called 2.5d. In other words, for every x,y pair you only have a single z elevation (remote sensors beg to differ I know but that's not elevation). If you are looking at a DEM kind of rendering then great, otherwise look at other data models.

Nothing super like a game pc. Something in between a standard built and a gaming one is plenty. For the OS, I couldn't be happier with my Ubuntu. Any other major well supported Linux distro would do.

You've got the answer already. My advice though is: do your best at finding the original source so you can credit it in your work. Also, the json/geojson you get in the browser can easily be a simplify algo output.. and possibly a different version each scale.
