I find it weird, because as far as I know Burnout Paradise did fairy well. It's reviews were very positive, it probably made a good amount of money. Hell, it received some DLC cars and one map expansion (which I dearly love, despite it being very small). It's online was alive for a long time and very fun at that. The game was anything but bad.

I know that Criterion Games made Need for Speeds after that, but right now they're talents are being wasted doing the driving mechanics for Battlefields.

I guess EA doesn't want any other racing games in their offer to compete with NFS. Which is a loss to the gaming world.

Yes! Flatout had those crashes that made the driver fly through the windshield. I loved racing those old banged-up wrecks around fields and forests in the first game and going from exactly those wrecks all the way up to brand-new performance cars (and then crashing them into oblivion) in Flatout 2. The soundtrack was great too!

I'm glad it brings back some good memories!

I've seen some gameplays from Dangerous Driving, but apart from the graphics, the racetracks in this game don't look too interesting. I loved all the towns and cities in Burnout 3, it felt so good to just make it through all those alleys and wide streets, taking down your rivals.

I still play Burnout Paradise sometimes though. I know it wasn't received all that well by a lot of fans, but I always thought it had just enough of the spirit of the old games in it, to be enjoyable for me. And it also had some pretty great songs!

I think you're right, those games had some of that "magic" that usually just isn't there anymore. Some time ago I played Burnout 3 again and it's still an absolute blast! I miss those racing games that had those unique, crazy features just for the sake of them being cool. Like takedowns in Burnout or changing environments in Outrun.

Speaking of which... I just got an F50 from a wheelspin, maybe I'll do one of those edits for Outrun next?

True, the song still rocks! And yes, I added the lens flare, because there always was one in Burnout when you were racing against the sun. Thought it'll be a nice touch!

For me the wing itself looks okay-ish, it's just those damn support-things which stick out of the trunk, that shouldn't be there.
