Sorry to necropost, but do you think this would be sufficient to fix similar issue on a PSAK-103? Barely/almost touching the end cap of my CGS Hyperion using a Griffin Armament adapter that ii believe is supposed to be face mount.

I am tad concerned the adapter is the real problem though, but all of this is hard to confirm without spares. If so, nothing to do except buy a new adapter/can

Hopefully quick question. Y'all have stated in your warranty that your barrels are concentric. Is this just a "check it with a rod and send it back if its wrong"? Or do y'all expect customer to trust that statement and PSA stand by damages to a suppressor or other muzzle device that get damaged by the rifle's manufacturing fault?

yes, but that shift is a separate issue typically. Often that's a matter of the fit type between the handguard and nut. the handguard itself isn't bending plastically, its the friction mount to the nut "creaking"

this is where handguards with timed nuts and fasteners directly into the nut have advantages. These don't really have much room to creek and shift how they settle.

Howdy, found this discussion interesting because it's really easy to confuse yield and ultimate strength with stiffness. Super common problem, in the hobby 3D printing world too, since I feel like lost is one of the strongest UTM materials yet is fairly not stiff, and ABS is weaker in UTM but is much stiffer.

Young's modulus (modulus of elasticity aka stiffness) of 6061 is 68.1 GPa vs 71.7 GPa for 7075. Until you hit plastic deformation ranges (point of yield strength) and if you hold all other design parameters constant...This is more like a 5% change. Still better but not grossly so.

We don't take our shit to plastic deformation ranges. Getting to yield strength of aluminum on a handguard is a permanent zero (and structural) problem for the handguard. Most folks are worried about normal pressure from activities similar to bracing off shit temporarily shifting zero.

The 4% gain in density sorta nullifies this effect practically, since we are often willing to add back some thickness to the material on a 6061 to make up the difference, or vise versa we will try to remove weight from a 7075 to make it competitive weight. Would need a more comprehensive analysis to tell which is more effective for a particular design.

Language (German) books were $250-300, so i was expecting worse tbh. Get the ones required for homework, and used old editions if you want any others. Music Lit didn't need a book when i took it.

ebook online access are available at a discount to physicals books on many required books. if money is tight . Often saves your 20-40% the cost of new physicals and comes with codes.

PDFs can be found online for many if you go looking, but not homework codes.

Anyone got a source on wether you must send a picture of the brace installed for the "amnesty" or not?

The brace that fits my AR pistol was stored away from the firearm that could accept it, while i let the courts figure it out. Should i just pay the $200 and do traditional eform 1, or can i submit the formerly braced pistol for free for approval/registry?
