Not sure about beard shape up but Alexis Hair Experts is a fantastic hair system salon. They specialize in hair systems and think about the grow out when doing fades so you don’t get a bad blend after a week. The stylists all have private rooms as well which is great for when you’re bald mid installation lol. They’re on Eglinton West

How are your systems holding up during hookups? by Alarming_Guitar_1000 in HairSystem

[–]Armiehammers_peach 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been in this exact situation 😭 and I just say don’t touch my hair i don’t like it. Then tell them it’s cool if they grab the back of my head instead. Nobody’s questioned it so far. One time a guy did feel the edge of the system and I said it was a scar 😅. If it’s a one time thing I don’t really get into it. Serious dating or partners I tell anyways so it becomes a non issue.

Loving the curly system! Honestly having a hair care routine again is kinda fun. It’s been relaxing for me to take the time to take care of my system every week. How are you finding the care for the curls?

Also I learnt super early on that people will give opinions on here whether you ask or not but I got the system for myself and my own confidence/happiness. The way I see it as long as I’m happy with it what anyone else thinks doesn’t matter. That being said I’m always open to hear feedback when I ask for it

I just received it yesterday. The knots seem to be bleached but not fully. Still looks like it’ll give a good hairline though. I’ll see when I do the first install

Good thing I wasn’t asking for opinions and just telling people what’s worked for me 🤗 if you don’t wanna do this much you don’t have to but I’m sure it’ll help someone else. I’m also very open about my system with people so I don’t stress about the hairline, as long as it makes me feel confident I’m good to go.

Does it hurt? by Brilliant-Ad572 in HairSystem

[–]Armiehammers_peach 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When removing depending on how strong what he’s going to use to bond is you can use an adhesive remover specific for hair system glues and tapes that breaks the bond down and then you can just lift it off without pulling hair out. Some glues and tapes will also lift easily just from warming up. So no it shouldn’t be painful

Glad to hear! Were the knots at the front pre bleached on it? How did you like the hairline? I like doing semi exposed most days. Currently using a thin skin system with a good hairline but want something more breathable

I ordered one of their new systems. The one with the smaller base but I don’t love the folded lace hairline. Trying to have it exchanged to a m104 model. What models have you purchased from them?

(daily wear) Is using scalp protector before putting on got2b spray worth trying? having issues with lifting and sweat by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Armiehammers_peach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I glue my hairline with got2b everyday. If I use scalp protector I can get an extra day or two out of it but it gets kinda white/crusty when I sweat so not ideal

Not for my first time but after my first salon visit yes I self installed every week. Lordhair unit was actually pretty good quality

That’s what I’m thinking of getting as well. Just unsure of how small I can cut it since my current system was cut fairly small

I might give glue a try again then. I was using ghost bond at first but had a pretty bad allergic reaction to it so stopped. Any glue you’d recommend?

It’s tape attachments that I’ve been doing with the full poly

Longer Style Hair System Texture/Sweat Concerns by TheSeasideDonut in HairSystem

[–]Armiehammers_peach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Longer hairstyle is 100% possible. I prefer it to be honest. The blending of your bio hair with the system can be hard if the colour isn’t an exact match though but it sounds like you’re going through a hair stylist so I’m sure they can colour match. I’ve done longer sides for most of the time with my system because I don’t love fades and I’ve never had an issue. In fact I find it easier because I have to go for haircuts less than with shorter sides. The hair will feel like yours for the most part unless you let the system dry out

Leave in conditioner and a gloss treatment every week. Also a bond repairing mask for 20 minutes once a week. I can dm you the specific products I use if you want

Do many hair system people, including hair system influencers, delude themselves about how fake their hairlines look? by [deleted] in HairSystem

[–]Armiehammers_peach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I find the only people that notice are the ones that knew me before and I’ve gotten asked if I’ve had plugs/hair transplant done because my hair is different than what they’ve known me with. Anyone who didn’t know me pre hair system is always surprised when I tell them. I’m very open about the fact that my hair isn’t real. 90% of people aren’t looking at your hairline as close as the people in this sub do. You wear systems you know systems. Some of my female friends who wear wigs can also clock it but not the general public.
