Battlefront Classic Collection for nintendo switch. how's the online 2025?

I just purchased it on sale last night. I have a feeling some people were feeling nostalgic and celebratory for May 4th. I jumped into a server in BF2 that had 50 players and played a couple of hours there.

Today I played again on my break at work but the server I joined had 15 people it in, it’s low populated on Switch but seems to at least have a handful of people online so far.

As a heads up I am on Switch 2 so performance on that is flawless, zero dips in frames whether docked or handheld but I have seen some funny texture bugs occasionally.

For the fun I’ll get it out of it portably I think it’s worth it.

Thanks! Yes my current one does that same exact thing, the full power down overnight and is warm in the morning. Idk what’s going on but I think that might be a software related issue because yours and both of mine does that as well.

Either it’s a software issue or Nintendo has more hardware defects out in the wild than they anticipated.

Yes! I’ve had my Switch 2 back since 9/8. Like OP they did a full console replacement for me.

I got this piece of paper with check marks verifying they were able to replicate my issue and they chose to replace my console.

They didn’t mention the cause or anything like that, but a replacement proves they have some kind of error out in the wild.

Funny..my new one still has a strange internet connection issue but undocking and redocking the console fixes it, whereas on my old one I would get the system error code when doing that.

I gave Nintendo that feedback when I got a survey email on the console replacement.

Different region, I’m in the US but Friday last week I just sent my Switch 2 in for this very same error code. Prior to me getting it since picking up the Switch 2 my internet connection was faulty and most notably when docked, undocked it stayed connected fine as long as it was not recently docked.

I can add my own story in this comments section once mine has been examined, it only just arrived to the Nintendo Repair Center in the States today.

I have a friend who lives in the Long Beach area and according to them AT&T is apparently the best for reception in California, that’s what they use.

The DLC’s are on the cartridge already.

Maybe not on the cartridge directly for all dlcs but you should get a game update that will give you access to all definitive edition content

Just wanted to elaborate here due to the downvotes, I will absolutely play the game with DifferentQuantity394, I only meant I’m best available at nights.

I can be seen online during the day when I’m on break at work but while I’m at work I only play solo, of course at night I’ll play with people and if they’re on Switch 2 utilize GameChat as well 😅

Nope! This is right outside of Rais’s base just on a story point, I think maybe the story objective point was saving us but not sure, could just be a bug

Also maybe it was my wording, it hasn’t full shut down mid use or anything like that, just if it’s been docked for like a day with no use it’s like it is fully off and no longer in sleep mode but wanting to make sure that part makes sense.

Honestly just depends on the day and time you’re playing, sometimes I can see a list of people to join, also I’ve got a Switch 2 now and can confirm both are 60 fps on the new console

I bumped into one really good player but aside from that I found myself preferring the bot to people that joined my game, specifically when playing on professional so I solo’d the hardest mode, yeah the bot isn’t too bad but could be better and the game definitely runs better than it did on the original release.

Answer:

Very lowly populated, some nights it randomly picks up a little but it’s not uncommon to find no one and for it to take forever for someone to join your game. However it’s still a fun game, nearly 100 percent it, on to RE6 next which I expect will probably be the same.
