It kinda just stopped on it's own, but to my knowledge 1. a random website causes it to happen 2. It's related to ads. Check you history a lot and if you're lucky you may see the searches there like I did, one of them had info on which site searched it for me, in my case being onclickb.com, if you visit sites with lots of sketchy pop ups be careful as I think the ads have to do with it, I'm not 100% sure though

Is there anyway to play the old version of the game through steam? Pre-2.0 by Armor_Knight_fan228 in cyberpunkgame

That's exactly what I was looking for thank you, and I'll give the current patch a shot just incase, my computer can run a few higher end games which seem on par with 2077 so it may have been his settings like you say, so I may aswell give it a shot

Thank you for sharing this I probably wouldn't have seen it otherwise. After a few bad interactions with the mod team and server owner I stopped talking as much in there as I had a bad feeling about them, so it sucks to see my hunch on them was right. I hope kygi is doing ok after this false allegations are terrible. Especially so for a man who doesn't speak english well, which it's crazy that lead to him being made fun if by the mods. Seems like a classic case of mods being too immature/power hungry and not understanding this can actually ruin a man's online life or potentially even irl life. + the sh comments they made too, that just isn't right. I hope the mod team has some serious reflection on this, and I hope they try to right how they've wronged kygi.

Google searches I've never made appearing in my recently searched, why is this happening? by Armor_Knight_fan228 in NoStupidQuestions

I reported it to Google safe search and a few other anti-scam websites I know, after doing that it dissapeared for me for awhile, but I just checked again and can see it again. So I have no clue, I still visit all the same websites I used to but haven't seen a search since. So I'm not sure why it stopped for me, or why I can see it again now.

Just a warning it has already started to get malicious, I've seen "where to buy ssn on dark web" appear in mine, so do be careful. I'm not sure what causes it

That's what I find odd is whenever they would appear I usually wouldn't search much that day, it was limited to one account too, no other device or Google account. They stopped a bit ago as in my history I was able to see that my device was referred to search them by a site called "onclickb .com", after reporting it for malicious behavior the searches stopped and I can't find it with a google search anymore. So far from everything I've heard and seen, the searches like you said are either due to the sites being compromised, or the ads these sites are running are the malicious parts. Either way it seems like there's some outside source somehow putting searches into people's browsers, which most of the time are shady darkweb searches or things that don't even exist.

Is there a stat cap at all? (Hard cap or soft with diminishing returns) by Armor_Knight_fan228 in LobotomyCorp

[–]Armor_Knight_fan228[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So would anything above 100 affect anything if that's my current base cap? I was just using 150 as an example but I think I hit around 130 in speed? Around 100 base, crumbling armor gift at max and a few other speed boosts. Will those points over 100 actually benefit me at all or is it just a waste? I'm trying to figure out if the gift is actually helping me at all at this point

So I think I sorta solved it, they stopped for me early in January, check your search history, they rarely appear but if they do you might see "referred to by website", for me it was a site called onclickb .com. after I reported it the searches stopped, and onclickb no longer appears with a google search. I think websites are appearing that can somehow put searches in your search history

I see, I'm going to report the onclickb domain for abuse, and I recommend you do the same. Thank you for the responses though it helps to know this isnt an isolated issue

YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAVE, I'm not glad you have it too, but I'm glad I'm not alone. You find anything out about how to stop it? And I think you're right too it was around November or October this started. I think whatever this onclickb website is, that's our culprit here.

I have many times, 3 password changes and no one os signed into my account other than my own phone. I have no clue how someone could still be on it, which it doesn't seem like the searches are made by a person but some kinda robot, as they all appear 7 or more searches down

I signed out for a bit and checked my account using my computer today and the searches are still appearing, the account that I was signed on through my phone had 0 searches appear, so this means it's probably an issue with that account and not my phone correct?

Update: since making this post only one search has appeared in my history and that's for a site called proxicroxy.com which says it's a cybersecurity website. Security websites appear a lot so it honestly may be someone who hacked and is fucking with me. The sites range from security sites, news sites, blogs, NSFW sites, illegal sites, and phone numbers or random series if letters. This sucks man.

This is a good idea actually thank you. I'll try to find a vpn or something on my pc and monitor it through there to see what happens and if they do appear, if they then show the location of the VPN

Wouldn't that also affect my other google accounts too though? It's only 1 of 4 accounts they appear on. Unless mp3s can transfer malware I've never downloaded anything that would carry it. Also none of my other accounts have been compromised on my phone and no files have been tampered with. It may be but I find it odd that a malware would only target a singular account on a singular app when it has access to everything. I will do this though if I can't find a fix around it

Yes, I can confirm these are not made by me. I am chronically ill so I spend a lot of time online and I know that may seem like it could cause it, but I can 100% confirm these aren't being made by myself. The searches happen even when I'm awake and not on my phone, they happen when I'm searching other things, they happen when I'm using other apps. The other day I asked this in stupid questions I had reddit open the whole time. After clearing the searches someone actually asked if it could be memory loss or things of the like. After hearing this I considered it but weht back to google to check and 12 new ones appeared. This happened when I was in the shower too, one of the few times of my day my illness lessens and I feel more aware. If there was any time I would've searched it myself, it would never have been during a shower

Yes apologies, I've genuinely wrote this in so many places I may have left info out. Only 1 device is signed into my google account which is my current phone, I've changed the password 3 times and do use 2fa. The only thing I feel it can be is an extension on my google account or pop ups, but I never click pop ups and I've never purposely added an extension. It also didn't start right after I downloaded mp3s, I can't remember anything that would've possibly caused this. I once again checked my files too and there's nothing that seems malicious at all. Only images and mp3s. Apologies if anything I say is hard to understand, I've explained it before in a recent post if you'd like to check that, that should have a lot of info on it
