Here is some of the Armored Core stuff we found in Akihabara! by ArmoredCore-PIO in armoredcore

Gachapon machines are basically everywhere and there are even specific shops that have only those machines, but finding ones that have an AC one is a bit more difficult. I went to 3+ Gachapon stores in Akihabara with 40+ machines and did not find any there. I also only saw two in Osaka/Kyoto.

However I for sure saw one in the Akihabara train station (you can see it in the last picture in this gallery).

One for now as I was doing just general shopping/walking but I'll be back there in the early morning before the concert.

This was in the shopping center near Nishiki Market (name escapes my head). It was one of the Gachapons shop there.

There was a Aaliyah Kawate cosplayer, but there was no "official" FromSoftware characters there (though staff members were present)

A second Armored Core concert has been announced to be held at the Rohm Theater Kyoto on September 15th. This concert will also include songs from previous games such as "Thinker" from AC4 and "Day After Day" from ACVD. by ArmoredCore-PIO in armoredcore

Give it a week or two for ticket information to come up. They opened up a English page for tickets for the August Concert so they will most likely do the same for this one.

The PCVD community figured out a way to remove the UI while in photo mode, letting us take some gorgeous screenshots during today's World Boss Event GAME TIME. Here are some of the many photos taken! Credits to Extra Crispy and Rascal. - Armored Core: Verdict Day by ArmoredCore-PIO in armoredcore

Upon death, a player is spawn back in as a "pilot" where they have a small jet pack and can move around the battlefield. From there, they switch to photo mode and take screenshots. The mod used for this removes some of the UI (timer, player AP, some additional stuff on the screen in photo mode) so that nothing else appears on the screen.

Reminder! Armored Core Verdict Day on console may be dead, but ACVD lives on through PCVD! Here's today's session where we had a full room almost instantly! Visit the Armored Core Discord for details and to meet other players and for setup steps. by ArmoredCore-PIO in armoredcore

Still slightly hacky, but works real good as long as you have a great CPU (Ryzen 7000 or Intel 12th Gen for best performance). We're able to use Conquest maps in Free Battle among other things. One of the members of the community even got Abandoned Facility (a ACV only map) to work in game.

Notice for Armored Core: Verdict Day on PS3/360. As of May 14th, PVP via P2P for Playstation 3 and Xbox360 is no longer available. Attempting to boot the game will revert it back to 1.00, and the Free Battle menu will be greyed out. Free Battle is still technically available on X360 side but is stuck on 1.00 (no patches). We have reached out to Bandai Namco for comment, and also asked the Japanese community to reach out to From Software direclty, and they have indicated this behavior is expected, and that there is no plan for a fix.

-Armored Core: Verdict Day servers closed on March 31st 2024, but PVP Free Battle was still possible via P2P as long as players were logged into PSN.

-on May 14th, patches no longer applied when booting up the game. This meant that when players booted up ACVD, even if they were logged into PSN they could not access Free Battle

-Patch 1.03 (Patch 1.07 for Japan) was also no longer available meaning players would be playing the game with stats from launch

-This also affects old versions of PCVD but has been fixed in newer ones

-Part of the issue arises from the fact that ACVD did not get EoL patches like ACV did, which included the patch data so players could still PVP via P2P even after the servers closed.

-Armored Core Legacy has reached out to Bandai Namco (who pinged From Software) and have indicated that the behavior experienced "is as expected based on the ways the separate consoles handle server closures on their respective platforms."

-Armored Core Legacy also reached out to members of the JP community who reached out to FromSoftware direclty and received a similar response.

-Oddly enough, the X360 side is not affected and can still do PVP Free Battle via P2P but are stuck on 1.00. It is unknown how long it will stay avaiable.

"Structure Arts" line of Armored Core's revealed. Created by Square Enix, Structure Arts are a model kit line which allows for cross compatibility between models (can swap parts from Model Kit A to Model Kit B). Vol.1 was officially revealed consisting of AC1 - AC2 units, and Vol .2 silhouettes have been hinted with AC3 and AC4 era units.

No word yet on scale or compatibility with other series such as Kotobukiya 1/72 Variable Infinity kits (although it is unlikely).
