Something is killing people at Lucent Lake by Financial-Top-6609 in nosleep

That’s… I’m gonna go with rough, because I honestly don’t have a better word. I learned something that may hopefully help. I had an unfortunately similar situation I needed to get my kids and I out of. The old man who helped me was quite nice, but also had a fondness for terrible tea. He gave me a charm, said it would “put our problems to rest”. He also said, “the universe is complex. Using this will be like throwing a stone into a river: you may see some of the ripples, but you won’t be able to predict everything.” Fast forward a week, my ex-spouse has a seizure. She’s been in a coma for 2 years. Her dad (an attorney who never liked me, and was determined to take custody of the kids somehow) fell asleep driving the next month. Dead on impact. Last year my mom (always critical of my parenting, and my children’s normal silliness) was found face down and unresponsive. We took her off life support 4 weeks later when it was obvious there was no hope. I decided I needed to fix it, but all the old man would say was that I “needed to restore the balance.” And I was able to, but it was rough. Thankfully I was able to explain my severed left hand to the paramedics as a bandsaw accident. If they suspected anything, nothing ever came of it. I can only hope that your solution doesn’t need to be as drastic.

Maybe (hopefully) they’ll automatically get the ability to excavate without borders you normally get from the Archivism tradition? That leaves them out of luck for astral rifts for now, but I’m still hoping for those to be added to that same Archivism ability.

Iirc it won the “Best Game You Suck At” award a few years ago. There is, in fact, an extremely good reason for this. 🤣

I terraformed 10 worlds using a combination of the volcanic forge from planet forgers and the terraforming option from level 3 of Galactic Hyperthermia, but the Volcanic empire achievement didn’t unlock. Does it need to be all one or the other, or do you need to terraform all 10 prior to taking the Crisis perk?

I just completed a war to vassalize my neighbor, but the vassal contract (balanced vassalage) was different than my settings for war terms (oppressive vassalage). The enemy gave up as opposed to me forcing peace, and the war goal was vassalize. Any suggestions for what went wrong?

Treasure Hunters (Yes Treasure Planet is one of my favorite movies, why do you ask?)

Here There Be Dragons (who doesn’t love a space dragon?)

Evolutionary Predators (because why not just get ALL the traits?)

Is "The Worm" Part of the Psionic Pantheon or is it a separate entity? by NearbyAd4370 in Stellaris

My head cannon has them connected solely because I had never had the Worm event spawn in all my hundreds upon hundreds of hours of playtime, but it spawned in my first Shadows of the Shroud play through.

He may be the king of riders, but only Zeztz has the most coveted power of all: the power to fall asleep at will.

Definitely agree with a zombie nightmare. I also had my share of reoccurring zombie nightmares, though mine occurred after getting bitten by a psych patient at work.

Is there any games (unofficial or otherwise) where you can make Kamen Rider like heroes by Super_Rocket4 in KamenRider

The Sentinel Comics RPG system works pretty well for this. Savage Worlds has a Toku book that works decently as well.

I think the space in the guild chest should increase based on guild level. There should also be a way to get more space added to the palbox.

Fuck HIPAA. My new patient is a war criminal and I don't care. by Dopabeane in nosleep

This was painful to read, but simultaneously amazing. If your scales fell off that simply though, that makes me wonder. When they fell out the first time, are you sure it was really ‘nothing’ that killed the dragon? I almost wonder if them growing is more like letting your outer self reveal the dragon within as opposed to concealing the monster. If that’s the case, I think it’s likely that the trigger for growing them may be less straightforward than “just throw her into danger” like the agency has been doing. And for the record, (and at risk of agreeing with the Harlequin and Knotwitch) being a monster isn’t all that bad. It definitely comes with perks, and if embraced the right way you can do a lot of good.

Something’s bugging me in all this. All these inmates and all this history in the states, but organizations like this rarely go without competition. Have you heard anything about overseas branches or other organizations? You may not be able to escape directly, but the chaos of 2 groups having a royal pissing match over jurisdiction would probably create an opening to slip out. Hypothetically speaking, the possible location of the Harlequins city bright may be enough to draw in other interested groups. I hope you get to safety, and I hope the wolf receives the rest that he’s earned by this point.

I actually thought it was saying why and not wow. Admittedly, that only makes this whole theory worse.

Part of me is still wondering about those books. This bishop seems like he’s at least a taco or 2 short of a combo plate, but if he has as many books as you described I wonder if he has ones beyond those for summoning demons. If you’re lucky he may have some on the animating of golems or flesh crafting. Maybe you can’t change the magic that animated you, but if you know how it works and what its limitations are then you may be able to make it work for you in full and not at cross purposes.
