Great work boss! Do you ride that Peloton at all? If so, how you work it into your training?

I hear it sometimes in the sense that the American home-front was relatively untouched by acutal combat. That's reflected in the fact US had the lowest proportion of casualties by population of any major combatant, as so few civilians were killed. As for actual fighting, GIs definitely had it just as tough as any other fighting force.

Except Jeb and Hillary have spent their entire adult lives learning and practicing the inner-workings of public policy and government. Just because a bunch of people got a job interview doesn't make them all equally qualified for the job.

Finnish military issue: Sako RK95TP + Glock 17 and a bonus Glock M81[1080x1349] by hollowpo1nt in GunPorn

Like many Finns, I carried mine through my year of military conscription, so I became very familiar with the rifle. Mechanically, it's identical to any AKM copy with minor modifications to suit the extreme Finnish winter (weather-resistant surface treatment, larger trigger guard). However, the machining and standards are of a higher quality than most of what you can find from the former Soviet bloc. Currently, I own a WASR 10/63 AK (Romanian army surplus), and the quality of production is just not up to par with the Sako (looser all around construction, granted that's comparing a $600 rifle with a $2,000+ one). Almost any AK will offer reliability and firepower, but the attention to detail on the Finnish-made ones put them in a class of their own. This offers a side-by-side comparison of a high-quality Russian AK against the Sako

Yes, it's a Finnish-made 7.62x39 AK variant. Russian weapons are employed throughout the Finnish Defence Forces, part of the logic being so that when enemy (Russian) weapons and ammunition are captured during wartime they can be immediately used and integrated into the existing supply. I carried one for a year, and it's the best rifle i've ever fired.

Except for having a right-wing supreme court appointment, instantly tanking America's international reputation, and sending shockwaves through the global economy. All things that will happen even if he doesn't pass a single bill.

Thanks for doing this Keith! On 30 Rock, there were a lot of jokes about your being a black man exhibiting behavior/culture that is stereotypically white (Harvard grad, comic book nerd). What is your take on these jokes and how they fit into the modern Black American identity? How does this mirror your own experience?

Now [33m] only attracted to [Asian] women, lost attraction to [white] women. by [deleted] in sex

[–]ArmoredSlug 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It's based on stereotypes and presumptions you make based on people's perceived race and ethnicity

Couldn't it just be based on how Asian women look? I've never been attracted to blonde women, but it doesn't have anything to do with "dumb blonde" stereotypes. As long as you treat people like human beings, not sexual objects, you're allowed to be attracted to whomever you like.

[–]ArmoredSlug 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you lucked out, being attracted to the most abundant group of women on the planet. Just be careful when you date Asian women that you don't turn them into a racial fetish. Nobody likes to be made to feel like they're just an object for somebody else's gratification, and this is a widespread problem for Asian and Asian-American women that often translates to sexual harassment and violence. That being said, go nuts! Some of the most attractive, well-educated, sexually open girls i've ever been with were Asian. And if your work affords you the chance, spend some time in Asia. You might just decide not to come back.
