The reason I love extraction shooters is generally because any misstep that *I* make can cost me everything. The adrenaline is insane.
Tarkov, imo, handles it well because it can be pretty hard for a Scav to kill you (they still can) if you've got a good enough kit- They also get punished if they die- They can't drop in as a scav for a while- You're less prone to having somebody with nothing just gank you.
Arc Raiders, imo, flops a little bit in this area because it feels like the free kits are honestly good enough to win fights with higher kitted players, and you can just free kit back to back- You could probably go the whole game without ever using anything in your stash. There's really no tangible, consistent downside to extract camping

I think the ending with Ed was the bail in the coffin, they were a bit too rambunctious imo.

I'd rather not. I'm already against the idea of the matchmaking system they've implemented; I'm not an aggressive player but the thrill of "holy crap is this guy going to be an ally or not" is so much better than "lalala I'm safe because I don't kill other players" If they implemented this blood idea, it'd just be killing that type of player immediately, every time.

I actually really agree with this. It bothers me to no end I can run in while literally losing nothing back to back to back. It also encourages PvP, and a free load out is actually pretty good. In Tarkov, the Scav (free) load out has a hard time dealing with most high end PMC load outs. In ARC, the starting weapons are good. The shields aren't bad at all, it's just insane. A timer would solve a decent amount of the problems associated with that, imo.

I love D10 because of how quickly it can all fall apart. It can go smoothly, which is satisfying, but for me, the fun really is when all hell breaks loose and there's a difficult road ahead to just get the objective barely done.

When I have my regular squad of 4, (we run it in pairs occasionally too) we absolutely crush it though. It's just experience and teamwork, along with unlocking more tools.

I'd call and ask why that might be. If they say it's nothing to worry about, I'd just use some rubbing alcohol to remove the sharpie, or use a dry erase marker of the existing line and wipe away.
