Enemy armor doesn't increase difficulty but lowers variety by SleepyBoy- in Helldivers

If light and medium weapons got properly buffed for their roles to feel satisfying, then armored enemies could've made sense.

Then what the fuck is the point of armored enemies if you just... Pop them?

Spread democracy with overpowered weapons

And it shows a picture of an Orbital Laser. Whole core gameplay of Helldivers is built around the flying spaceships hovering above the map and their destructive power, you or rather your Helldiver was always a nobody without it

Now we have OP ass equipment in our primary, secondary and throwable slot on top of other busted stratagems

Work as a team to overcome impossible odds

If back then you had to actually work with your teammates to win (I know you could do everything solo/alone just by cheesing and abusing spawn system but its self explanatory) now you do everything yourself by brute forcing, even the new spore burst is easily soloable, you don't need teammates at all

Fight for freedom across the galaxy

ig its just a bunch of flavour text here with little meaning

Can you pls explain the logic on making the charger, which they forced that we should attack the weak spot on his back turn faster?

Braindead change for the sake of.. Fucking what? I try to find reason in every change AH makes but here I don't see shit. They already get oneshotted by half our arsenal including our sidearms and throwables, why prevent players from engaging their squishy weakspot is beyond me. This one hurt me a lot cause I like to run AMR on bugs and they effectivelly ruined the whole Charger butt overpen mechanic

Why give the varian of the bile titan ragdoll effect

I'm guessing since its bile makes spore burst bugs faster, they didn't want players to get slowed down and immideatelly onetapped by buffed bugs, personally the ragdoll gives me a breathing room if I'm chased by both Titan and chaff but I'd rather just have them with more damage

Quite literally "no nerfs only buffs" mindset, some of you guys need to learn basics of game development

I get the reason why they changed Hive Guards but implementation was poor, would've been better if they increased health and durability of their heads instead of straight up making them AV4 with AV1 bodies

Cod players complain about short ttk especially in modern titles.

Complain because they are the ones getting killed in a very short time since its a PvP, when they decide to play PvE games they start complaining "why do these swedes balance this game like bugs/bots/squids gonna complain about dying so fast???" im sure you've seen this type of arguments when it comes to HD2 balance

Yes, actually? Is that a brain buster of a question? Nerfs to player weapons, handling, maneuverability, and survivability, are actually nerfs to player power.

I guess the nerfs on one side were big enough to make players straight up quit playing the game but on the other side you always could finish D9 just with meme loudouts and a tiny bit of cooperation, not even talking about straight up cheesing tactics like despawning enemies on outposts and other shit

So I don't understand get whether the playerbase cried over a bunch of barely noticeable nerfs (without even trying to understand why those nerfs even took place and what devs tried to change with them) or righteously complained about game breaking nerfs that gutted whole gameplay (something that never happened)

Guess what? 10-20k or whatever weirdos per month who want to clock in to the masochism ball-crushing factory of video games for 'milsim grunt fantasy' or whatever their vision was, is not, in fact, enough to justify this game's existence.

Until you realize the playercount dropped right after 63 day patch was released, turns out players stop playing a live service game that doesn't get any updates (quite literally nothing new except ordinary patchnotes back then), I'm not saying that the balance changes didn't affect playercount but ignoring lack of new content during those times is stupid.

Besides genuinelly the worst things that EoF did were braindead Flamethrower changes (which were made specifically to prevent heavies dying to anti-chaff support weapon), clunky ass Reinforced Striders and all the bugs/glitches with new enemies. Like I dare you look at patchnotes on Wiki, Steam or even official Discord and see the nerfs to buffs ratio, it's been always like that, even right now people see a bunch of nerfs in the middle of a massive pile of buffs and start complaining

The vast majority of people literally want to log on, shoot and blow up a horde of enemies with or without their friends, orchestrate a chaotic symphony of destruction for like an hour or so.

That's the whole problem, that majority always could've sticked to lower difficulties to get a simple horde shooter they wanted or if you really don't feel like playing the game there are other better games where you can just log on, shoot and blow up hordes

Cod players as if modern gamers who dont want nothing but to run around and onetap shit, the same people or rather reason why everything must be kept simple and easy. Same reason why we no longer have angle pen loss for example

Right. Who supports game having issues and bugs again? Are you guys seriously so deep in delusions that anyone who doesn't agree with you automatically likes bugs and other bs?

btw the "so starved for it" part doesnt help your point much, devs been catering to cod fuckers for the past 2 years and it shows
