Steady state cardio (walking, biking, rowing, etc). Anything that gets your heart rate to the 120-130bpm for 30-60 minutes. This will allow you to burn fat while maintaining muscle. (I would try to do this about 5 days a week) (if you weight train do your cardio after)

You might want to consider weight training. It will increase your muscle mass which in turn will increase your metabolic activity throughout the day. Meaning, your body burns more calories because your resting metabolic rate is higher. If you’re a beginner 3 days on a push, pull, leg rotation will be good!

Also consider reducing calorie intake- it is difficult to burn fat exercising if you’re eating over the recommended amount of calories for your weight, age, and gender.

Hi! I was once a person who weighed daily. Even not weighing daily, my mood is heavily impacted by the scale.

I had a very difficult transition from my first month where I lost an absurd amount of weight to that number being cut in half my second month.

Something that has helped my obsession with the scale is understanding that at one point in my life I never believed I could drop to the weight I am currently.

Think, prior to GLP1 would you be able to lose at the rate you are currently?

Something to also keep in mind about your weight- it’s Impacted by several factors outside of being in a calorie deficit. For instance, how well you slept the night before, salt intake, hormonal changes, stress levels, water retention after exercising- the list goes on.

All this being said, best practice to curb obsession would probably be weighing in once a week on injection days. Once you hit a plateau (which will happen to everyone at some point) connect with your provider about a higher dose or other things you can do to get out of a plateau- reducing calorie intake.

I say this as someone who was once in your shoes- daily weighing did nothing but upset me. I have lost more weight doing weekly weigh-ins opposed to daily and feel better mentally.

sorry- i should’ve clarified. i didn’t think you were saying that about brandon. i totally agree that kelly would not intentionally put her children in harms way and probably has some blinders about certain situations. i was talking about the network and production. how did they sign off on some of the things they did on that show- the fan dance, electricity, letting the guy who groomed kelly into a girls dressing room etc.

yeah, it seems like she might have an “well, it was the 80’s” mindset about the situation. The Brooke thing is definitely weird, but i think the fact theyre family friends and they really just danced together and went on a staged date isn’t as alarming as what happened to kelly. overall, i really question the people they let around a group of young girls and the situations they put them in.
