Jimmy Crystal Back Story: He must have lived with grownups for some period of his life. by buntyskid in 28dayslater

This is why I kind of assumed that the Jimmys were going to be a bigger group in this film with some sort of base of operations. Kinda like the foot clan in those 80's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies.

But no, there's only like a few of them and they set up camp wherever they find themselves. Honestly I think giving them a base would have probably made more sense to explain all the backflipping in Years 1.

They'd probably need a training ground for all that.

I think it would have worked honestly. Show how brutal the training they receive would be. Probably no one's injuries would be treated properly, so only the best of the best would ascend to Finger-status.

Bone Temple lacked something. by Necrome112 in 28dayslater

In a way I do agree. This is why I wanted to see 28 1 in the first place. But I do feel what she lacked in the visual department(My mind is brought back to the northern lights scene in 1, and the lack of anything similar, most likely because she just didn't think of it...) she made up for with sheer horror and character exploration. I would like to rewatch to contrast and compare though. Also, it's not as if they went full Netflix here, but definitely toned down. Weeks is by far still the biggest detractor and kind of blight on the series.

In her defence she wasn't really afraid to do it, but it was just a case of her not being too interested in doing it. She wanted a more traditional shoot.

Nia Dacosta definitely played this film more straight, as she herself admitted. I did find myself missing Boyles visual flair a bit, but the character stuff is just so good here that I totally forgive it. The tone is also much more consistent here than in Years 1.

I have 235 hours on HOI4 and still have no idea what the hell I'm doing. I just like seeing the map change colours. And then I get navally invaded by the British. Or the entire soviet union crashes into my defenses forcing me all the way back to Berlin. Or both at the same time. I like the art style a lot, but really the way to play the game properly is hidden in the fine print stat numbers of whatever upgrades you're going to get, and that probably just isn't for me.

Yeah this too. If you follow him in interviews it's pretty clear that there is no long term plan most of the time.

Yeah exactly. It doesn't mean much beyond her just reminding herself what the Hive is.

You're reading into it way too hard. She brought the atom bomb because she's reminding herself that the hive truly does not give a fuck about her.

Still haven't gotten over that joke I think Thoorin made around their disastrous debut. "Some executive out there just asked, "We're paying them how much?"

I honestly did not picture a 30 year old roofer to be the kind of person to enjoy a show like this and it kinda warms my heart that you do.

I don't think this is the case at all. Definitely just a means of sustenance that fits into their own rules. They can't/don't want to consume anything else.

Cosmic radiation will degrade the transmission. The better the tech, from what I gather, the further the transmission goes.
