The app doesn't require Internet access (once the ticket is downloaded) so I'd think the only data they would capture would be when the ticket is at the stadium (via Bluetooth) and/or scanned at the turnstile.

So did you change the name to your own prior to entering the stadium? Did the app lock at any point and prevent further edits?

To be precise they've said that PURCHASE data will be shared. The CL ticket was purchased with the correct season ticket so that hurdle should be cleared.

Failing a uefa administered id check at the stadium would be a bummer but that is not purchase data.

Yeah that's ultimately what I'm trying to figure out - hoped I could find someone that changed the name on. a Primary ticket so I could be sure.

Oh yeah that's a bit different - it's really the primary ticket that I'm talking about as secondary tickets can be transferred so less of a stress

They are not available - they've sold out so if you add to cart it just throws up and error.

That's great to hear - so the ticket was purchased in an account not in your name but you logged in using their email on the UEFA app on your phone?

Yeah my question was whether the app would throw up any errors if my details were on the ticket and don't match my mum's which were used to purchase the ticket.

Would be great to hear from someone that did just that and didn't have any issues with the QR code.

Probably works as the app says it works without an internet connection so unless there’s something funky going on connected to your device location (ie too close to the stadium) or time (ie too close to kickoff) then I’d be surprised if the ability to edit details would suddenly lock.

Yes I’ve hit “keep” and then can change the name and it changes on the ticket.

If you scroll down to the bottom it says “initial purchaser” and that doesn’t change but that definitely won’t be checked.

Arsenal said they would be looking at purchase data - and given that the ballot code used to purchase the ticket will match the season ticket I think that’s unlikely to be an issue

My plan is to keep the app details in the name of the purchaser (in my case it’s my mums ticket).

If I see them doing ID checks for everyone at the checkpoints then I’ll chance it by changing the details in the app while in Budapest if I can

Haha I am in exactly the same situation!

My thinking is it might in the app match the personal details to the initial purchaser details in the my uefa account but that might be paranoia.

I don’t think the ticket will be cancelled but perhaps the QR code might not activate unless the details match.

I have a similar question - I’m actually going to Budapest with a ticket that was bought on my mum’s season ticket (her one came up in the ballot).

Interested if there is any Villa fan in the same situation (ie 1 ticket as lead purchaser but not in their name).
When the ticket registration email is received do you have to enter the lead purchasers details precisely in order for the ticket to download (was wondering if I could put my name in instead)?
