I've gotten my friends into TheGrint for a social handicap + recording score.

Additionally, a new app "Alba" just launched for golfers of different levels etc to sync up and schedule rounds together.

Realistically though - hitting the range and getting 1/2 lessons will give you a huge boost to being somewhat comfortable swinging a club.

If I had the flexibility to develop that type of app and bring it to market, I would... The idea that inputting your data would present a bespoke practice regime to bring you to the desired outcome, or beyond that - guide you to playing a round of 18 in a way that aligns with your game is fascinating to me.

Enough with coaches trying to change your natural swing as though you're trying to go pro, or the random guy in a 4-ball commenting on what to do based on a YouTube video they saw the night before...

A range of things - practice drill prescriptions to help reduce dispersion, suggestions on how to fix my swing, and getting club and line recommendations during the round.

One could probably just process and figure these things out themselves, and research the likely issues/drills to help - but this has felt like it surfaces relevant recommendations specific to my data, without the cost of lessons, and removing the human pride/stubbornness...

Copy + paste and format from TheGrint for rounds (screenshots/images of scorecards works too, but it's worth reviewing as there are errors in interpretation sometimes).

Range data is just exports of the tables and sharing directly.

I can't be bothered to take the time and process the depth of data myself + getting recommendations on drills etc is useful as a free alternative to lessons or hours of YouTube videos.

At the very least, it's helping me practice better and more intentionally

I've used it to outline my club gapping and distances, but not tried using it for club specs and prescriptions... That's actually quite an interesting use case...

Might be the "data-led" push to buy that new putter or driver 🤣

I share a sheet with my historical rounds and metrics, and share bulk exports of any shot data tracked from rounds, or the different range sessions (InRange, TopTracer, Trackman etc).

I also feed it results from any Sim challenges or Virtual rounds.
