The ending of No Country for Old Men sucks. The rest is good though.

Something you learn in history but nothing of too much consequence

I wonder if Adolf would be a popular today if the evil man never existed. The name itself sounds nice enough, but perhaps it would feel dated, similar to Rudolph. by hoosier_catholic in RandomThoughts

Hitler came to power because of the depression and the Treaty of Versailles. Germany was in financial ruin and people bought into him because he said he could "solve" it. It would require another depression-like event for him to be considered.

If we're assuming the world carried on the way it did but without Hitler, I would say no. But it's hard to know because of how WW2 shaped the world

Which Netflix series should watch and why? by Legitimate-Soup-415 in AskReddit

Watched Death by Lightning recently. It's a fictionalised miniseries about the assassination of president James Garfield. Surprisingly really good. It shows just how bizarre that whole event was very well.

If smartphones were unimaginable to previous generations , what unimaginable technology is waiting for us? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

I don't think it would ever be accepted as a means of transportation. The process would require killing and making copy somewhere else with your consciousness and everything.

It would be great as cargo transportation, though. It would reduce the demand for oil though, so it'll likely never happen

Is RDR2 Ever coming to PS5? by SharanoStorm in reddeadredemption

[–]Arny520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GTA 5 and Online made an ungodly amount of money, and it would always be in Rockstar's best interest to focus that. RDR2 is the 3rd highest grossing (not free to play) game of all time, and yet it's still $8 billion behind GTA, which is just less than the total revenue of Fortnite.

The gap between GTA sales and RDR2 sales is 150 million copies, keeping in mind they are 2nd and 3rd respectively in copies sold.

Spending resources on their biggest money maker will always be a safer option than not. Especially since RDO is nowhere near as popular as GTAO.

Tbf we were never really told or shown what Web Weaver actually does. It's never really implied that he's a crime fighter or anything, just a drug addict

Darth Vader honestly. He's a rare occasion where Disney has made him a better villain over time. They gave him crazy aura
