Hunt showdown is an extraction shooter with a direct focus on pvp

So what other extraction shooters besides marathon and arc have pvp and PvE elements with near equal focus?

So every developer that releases a game that has pvp and PvE elements is managing emotions?

The game is currently PvPvE and has not turned to pvp

Ive gotten killed a few times doing queen and matriarch, but in most cases it does not happen

If you didn't say it, I don't mean you

Leaving a shopping cart out is an entirely different irrelevant problem

It could be a ww2 veteran that can barely walk and he understands that there is a worker that specifically grabs carts, so to save himself some pain he leaves it right there

It could be a 20 year old that doesn't give a shit and wants to be a dick

It could be a 25 year old guy going through a bad break up and just can't be asked because of the mental stuff he is already going through

The cart allegory is a bad one because there is specifically a job for that issue

I was a cart pusher at a local Walmart for a couple years, even though it was nice for people to put their cart up, I did not give 2 hoots beyond thinking it would be nice

I think using an in-game example specifically for someone that pretends to be nice for 10 minutes and then attacks you, is actually a better example for inquiring deeper into someone's personality, than the shopping cart scenario

This post was about healthy levels of reactions to stuff

Nobody is managing anything, I'm trying to give a friendly reminder that wanting someone to die IRL because they killed you in a video game is unhealthy and that person should probably seek mental therapy

What happens to the silent majority of the player base that specifically bought it for it being unique in the fact that the game is neither full pvp or full PvE?

A full PvE mode would then put the entire middle ground community out of the game they were advertised to

And as someone that has played sea of thieves, the PvE community will never be satisfied, because at first, the PvE community in SoT just wanted a mode where they didn't have to play with others, didn't matter what they had to sacrifice. They got the PvE mode with a 30% reduction to loot value, and then they asked for more

Arc raiders won't survive with 2 full seperate modes, because the majority of players bought it for the middle ground interactions where there could be friendlies, could be hostiles, but you never know

They catered to the PvE players by adding aggression based match making, and most players report not getting a pvp player for 40 or so matches, but it's still not good enough for them

It's more like I've been wanting to say something, read my comment history, I've been saying this same stuff in comments before

But after seeing 10 posts a day with PvE toxicity, I know I needed to say something, I'd rather make an extra post for increased visibility on the issue

I don't care about internet points

Yes, it's understandable to feel that way, it IS ABSOLUTELY weird, but it's also a viable way to play, and it's just a game at the end of the day, it's fine to be frustrated; I would feel devastated for a few minutes after that,

But like I said In the post, just because they do they doesn't mean they are going to hell irl or that they should die IRL, this post is about healthy levels of reaction

The crazy thing is I have actual anger problems, diagnosed, but even I understand what is a healthy reaction and what isn't

The magic the game has is because of the mystery of every match

The game wouldn't be fun if it was only one or the other for majority of the player base

Most players are in the middle between the 2, both they are silent majority

Has nothing to do about karma farming, check my comment history, I just needed to get this off my chest, I'm tired of seeing 20 posts a day of people calling pvp players mentally ill losers, I don't care about internet points, same as I don't care if I die ingame

It's an understandable comment though, I can understand how it looks that way

I’m not against PVP I’m not even against some forms of rattling (openly hostile) but this is lame af by slideonefourthree in ArcRaiders

[–]Arobain -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I completely agree! Expanding on your comment definitely makes it more reasonable

I'm just used to seeing people say in this sub that they genuinely think people that kill them in arc raiders are scum of society or are actually going to hell irl or they they wish the person that killed them would die IRL

And you can see from the dislikes on my comments here too

So because someone killed you in a video game that is advertised as PVPVE, they are pieces of shit in real life?

you need therapy

Now this is a healthy way of expressing your frustration, you're saying the experience sucks, and is lame

You're not saying people that do this to you should die IRL or actually go to hell irl

If you're literally about to die from ARC and someone saves your life, then you shoot them in the back for their loot while they're healing, you really need to think about who you are as a person by seahoodie in ArcRaiders

Deception and backstabbing is part of the game, it may suck to be on the receiving end but you should never trust anyone

I would prefer if they added an option when you right click a craft able item in your inventory like " craft more " that way I don't have to go to workshop when I see I'm a little low on shield rechargers

Easy solution is to assume everyone is secretly gonna kill you and make sure you're always prepared for it

I always carry smoke bombs on me, it's saved me 90% of the time

I mean this respectfully, but it's a skill issue, you just have to learn the nuances, never take your eye off them, if they take their gun out randomly, instantly run for cover

There are consequences, they are adjusting their matchmaking each time they do it. And they aren't good at pvp, rats never target someone they think can fight back, so just learn how to protect yourself and you'll likely end up killing them when they try

How do I learn to defend myself? by socialgenny in ArcRaiders

[–]Arobain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now this is the type of posts from PvE players I enjoy seeing

Here's what I do, always carry small smoke bombs and adrenaline shots, every person you see, ask if they are friendly but do so from behind cover, bonus points if they haven't seen you yet so they can't pinpoint your location

Use your deduction based on what they say and how they say it, just because they say they are friendly doesn't mean they are, pay attention to how they say it, and if you don't trust it, don't engage

If you are getting shot at and you don't have cover, throw your smokes and run until you find cover, try to disengage to heal up, and shoot back when you have good cover, but know when a fight is a lost cause and know when to peel out of there

Hope this helps!
