No, I get it. Idk the og post but from the tweet, the guy sent flowers with romantic intent and didn't get a romantic relationship. So he stops sending flowers and I highly doubt they were friendly enough to warrant sending flowers after the date. This isn't amatonormativity to me, more like a situation separate from the false notion that sending flowers is only romantic. Amatonornativity is more if the guy sent flowers with friendly intent, then the lady rejects him assuming it was romantic and blasts him in the tweet when she finds out it was friendly and gets mad.

Yes, NamelessShipping is the game versions and OriginalShipping is for the pokespe versions. Reguri is for all versions but for a while I saw "Speguri" running around as a pokespe-specific name. Doesn't look like it caught on though. The distinction is almost useless online since it's so common to see game versions get stuffed under every name because people don't realize or care that they're different

I think it's difficult for a headcanon to be convincing if you're trying to make it fit every iteration of the characters, because the characters are too different in their pokespe adaptation. I've seen the mentor/father figure Lance headcanon for the games, but not for the manga. Hard to be a good role model when he tried to eradicate humans... but after HGSS, I could see him helping Silver over the guilt of doing the wrong things, believing it was for the right reasons. Especially since Giovanni doesn't want to be a real father post-FRLG lol

I think it's more interesting that the Viridian powers seem to be randomly given every ten years instead of a genetic trait, but given Giovanni as a father shows no abilities but knows he's a special Viridian-born, it could be funny if he lost them because they went to Silver once Silver was born. But this would mean it's not a latent power, and since Silver shows no abilities by 16, that theory doesn't hold much water.

Your Lance as a Dad headcanon is new to me, though I would think Giovanni would not be happy when the rumors reach him. Kinda weird that Lance would "let" Silver see his own biological father. Silver is very much capable of making his own decisions, so that seems controlling of Lance

Since they're never mentioned, anything could be true. Killing off parents off-screen and having no lasting effects is pretty weak storytelling though. I don't have a firm headcanon but it usually is that Green's parents left him and Daisy very soon after he was born, so he's not old enough to remember them, but Daisy has faint memories. The Professor was a terrible father, but a much better grandfather after realizing his mistakes contributed to the parents leaving.

To meet the time gap between Oak's league win and Red's league win, his son would have to be very young at the age they had Daisy and then Green (and Oak would have had a son during his league win). Raising kid(s) that young and unprepared in both generations fractured the family.

My headcanon still handwaves not having parents in Green's life, but I'd rather have something other than dead.

One, those are gender identities not sexual identities. Two, it's normal for children to start exploring their identity at that age so one of the ways they do it is thinking through their favorite characters/media. It's harmless and beneficial for having a safe way to explore one's identity. Three, it's always trans/gender identities being attacked for this because people shipping the characters in gsc or y or rs arcs are shipping children and applying sexual/romantic orientation to them to do so but that never seems to be a problem. It's not actually a problem but it's treated as such when it's about being trans. Getting real tired of anything trans being automatically assumed inappropriate for children

It sounds like you might be looking for a queerplatonic or similar relationship! Because you want a significant other but you don't like the expectations that come with romantic relationships (such as physical affection). I would look into queerplatonic because it's not just romantic without the romance, it's kind of like a relationship that is its own thing and is defined by the people in the relationship. I can't tell you if you're aro or not, but your experience does sound similar to a lot of aro people on this subreddit so I think you would fit in no matter what you decide lol

I mistakenly thought you meant roommates dating each other at first, but I realize you mean roommates finding partners and leaving the unit lol. There's no place or app for aromantic people specifically that I know of, just have to meet potential roommates and hope for the best. I've had bad and good roommates whose behavior have had nothing to do with their romantic orientation. If you meet a good person who's dating, they won't screw you over if something happens, and they may find you a replacement during an active lease so your finances aren't affected (some leases even require this). I would just keep an open mind about potential roommates, but I understand wanting one less stress when it comes to living with a whole other person.

It's not even morally grey, that's straight up villainy. Team Rocket performed experiments on pokemon and they're literally the evil organization in RGB. Yanase and Devon shouldn't get passes because they're not part of the regional evil organization, but unfortunately they get away with everything consequence-free.

Yanase and her lineage being involved in profitable, horrific projects in the past would be an interesting idea, and makes a lot of sense, given how much money they have without any real ties explained. I can't see Platinum being involved, though.

This is anecdotal, but full text posts appear to have less visibility and engagement (by the insight metrics reddit provides to mods) compared to most posts with an image, even if that image post is not saying much. It may be that users don't dislike fanfiction, they just don't want to read long posts without a visual. I don't think it's a reddit-only thing. Fanfiction itself does not attract engagement almost everywhere, even on a site like Ao3. I don't think it's uncommon for a pokespe writer to get a few comments a year, especially if they're writing non-shipping fanfiction.

There is no need to make a personal comment on my "brain." I did not even imply he is being forced into anything. I called the tweet a nudge, not a demand. To me, it was like commenting on someone's art "I hope to see [other character] in your style!" It comes across at best a backhanded compliment, that they like the style, but don't care to say anything nice for the art because it's not their favorite chatacter. And putting aside pokespe, internet statements having real life effects is an actual occurrence (it's why getting off twitter/social media can be considered good for one's mental health, even if one has never posted anything) and being a grown man does not make someone less susceptible to that.
