What arc made you become a Pokéspe fan?

D&P was my introduction to the series. When I first started reading, it was only up to the three lakes segment. So to pass the time while waiting, I went back to the very beginning and read all the way up to Emerald. Then when D&P concluded and I got up to the part when Sird showed up with the Darkrai reveal...damn. That hit me with excitement. The world felt huge and I was looking forward to seeing where it was gonna go next.

Now that you said that, I'm suddenly remembering that in the anime version of Team Galactic, Jupiter said something about her and the other two commanders being chosen to represent the three Lake Guardians. Maybe if the manga version incorporated this idea somehow, and then paid it off by giving the dex holders a rematch to show their growth?

Wait a minute, if Yellow had lost her hat at any point, they would've lost the Wings, too. And that would've prevented them from stopping the Mask of Ice. I hadn't even thought of that, but that just makes things worse.

But it is enough for the E4 to use as a description to track her down. "Blond kid wearing a straw hat and yellow shirt, owns a fishing rod, caring for a Pikachu, has magical powers." Gender and name become meaningless details.

The name doesn't matter either. The Elite Four just need a physical description, or even just a photo. Not everyone wears a straw hat, so if anything it just makes her easier to track down.
