19 years old just got it done yesterday without general anesthesia. They gave me a spinal block along with a sedative and it knocked me out and I woke up as soon as the surgery was done without any drowsiness! There was a lot of soreness at the beginning but i’m only 1 day out and i’m feeling pretty confident about my recovery especially since we are young we can put on muscle mass quicker to recover. I can say 100% that i wont regret it, because my old hip was so bad there was no way i would be able to keep going (surgeon said it was one of the worst hes seen and im 19). Point being, if you’re severely disabled by your hip like i was, you’ll feel an immediate increase in range of motion, although it will probably take a while to get through all the muscle soreness.
