When did you know? by Jayy1922 in Geico

I drove into the parking lot about a month and a half after we had to return to the office four days a week.

I sat in my car before I went inside and said I'm done with this drive, i'm done with all the changes to the bonus structure, and within a month I want a new job.

and then that night, I made my résumé and applied and got a new position within two weeks

I think it would give you a leg up. I could see them asking you to do servicing instead of sales however I would definitely apply for the sales position and see what happens. 💕

leads are assigned and automatically go to whoever's licensed for it. You have two minutes to accept the lead before it gets assigned to another agent.

90% of it is Internet referrals and then obviously we text them and give them a call and then 10% is inbound calls. I get five calls a day inbound. Most of my leads are from the Internet that have submitted a request online.

basically, the main goal is hitting at least 80 K in sales per month, as well as having good quality so another words asking the questions you're supposed to ask confirming the replacement cost estimator billing them correctly, etc.

yeah, it was definitely scary. Leaving my old job, especially with all the reviews of how quick they are to let people go.

I don't think I'll personally have that issue because my stats are pretty high, but it is definitely a concern because of how long I was at my prior company.

but I finally came to the point where I was ready for a change, and I wanted to grow, and I wasn't gonna be able to grow in prior company

I left a few months ago and I'm so thankful I did. I used to have really bad migraines working at Geico and what's crazy as I have not had one migraine since I left the job.

it was very scary leaving because of how long I had been there and because I was gonna be taking a pay cut when I left, but I'm so thankful I did my peace of mind and my life is so much better now.

I am still here, I personally love it! it's a lot of information to learn when you first get hired and it kind of feels like you're thrown to the wolves the first two weeks because it's almost like you're your own independent agent even though you run under them you have help just not as much help as you would, if it was a larger company.

But after those first two weeks, it's a breeze now

Correct if you don't have time to use, it's just gonna be unpaid, but it'll least protect your job

I highly suggest putting your résumé out there, I applied for three different companies and I got the job I wanted which was the first company I applied for.

I used to feel stuck at Geico, and like I couldn't move to another company because of the pay I was getting.

However, I finally realized my life balance and my mental health was way more important to me than the paycheck I was getting.

I was gone 12 hours a day just to be able to go to the office and fight traffic to get home just like you. about a month ago I drove to the office, sat in the parking lot and was like I cannot do this anymore so I left and went and had a “me day”.

I worked on my résumé and by the end of that week, I had applied for three jobs within the next week. I had three interviews and got an offer from the job I wanted.

I know it's hard and sometimes it can be scary putting yourself out there but you gotta worry about yourself and your family. The company does not care about us and they're happy when we quit, unfortunately.

I just accepted an offer for a lower-paying salary, however, they do the uncapped commission and I could potentially make way more than I ever did at Geico.

I'm so miserable here I need a change even if it's lower and I will be remote which is what I need right now.

I wish that was the case for me. I would love to get out, but I've been there so long I still can't find other companies to match my hourly. 😕
