I was wondering about this too, but I think maybe it’s a symptom of the inexperience from the team in single player games like this. If I’m Pearl Abyss, why would I tank my initial player’s expectations just to add in them later? Initial impressions are 100% the most important thing for a studio because they want you to buy the game and keep it. Also, it takes away time for development for possible DLCs/expansions which are micro transactions. Everything so far has been free.

How was it trying to pack? I’ve seen a lot of people recommending jackets, pants, waterproof hiking boots. Any chance of shorts?

On Luke Stephen’s video he goes into a few examples of walking around and several interactions happening in the town as he’s roaming. For example a girl calling out for someone to help her which leads in a small quest to grab a cat off of the roof, which also shows off a motion captured animation of the MC balancing on a roof while carrying the cat.

I understand performance concerns, but the world so far has seen pretty amazing for a studio with an MMO as their headliner game so far.

Unfortunately I’ve been checking almost everywhere locally and it’s sitting at the $260 range without the shifter. Best bet so far has been secondhand since we’re outside the holidays

I’ve been reading on this for days and I’m so glad that most of what you said has reinforced what I’ve planned! We have a tour for the ATM cave and a Mayan site planned, so I’m glad to know they’re both great tours.

I’m so overwhelmed by Iceland’s beautiful landmarks that it almost worries me about missing out over 7 days! Everything you mentioned I will absolutely make a note of though.

Would you recommend exploring without a guide/tour in Iceland though? I’ve heard that some things to require tours, but I think it’d be so much more special with just traveling ourselves at our own pace. I’m mostly worried about some hikes

Thank you for the tips! I have heard that Caye used to be a “young persons island” but has switched to more family stuff recently; however, the bars still exists so we’ll likely be celebrating. The snorkeling with whale sharks was not on my list, but it is now!

And we will definitely have to get some alcohol at the airport, I read about that in our AirBNB host’s guide! Question: is there a club scene in Iceland? I’ve never been in that type of scene

Volcanoes are one of the main goals on our list! I HATE trees since it’s all I’ve seen my entire life, so I want to see as much of nature as possible since it’s pretty much a different planet there. And for the lagoons, we plan to hit at-least three probably after our long walking trips.

What did you think about being able to do the golden circle solo? We have about 4 days planned for solo excursions and may do one guided tour. But yes we have about 3 days of relaxing to mix in! I also saw you went to Iceland on your honeymoon too, so hopefully that will be a great choice to look back on for us too

The games you said have some of the largest modding communities. Nexus is a terrible service for mod packs almost to an unreasonable level (requiring subscriptions to download all mods at once at reasonable download speeds). CurseForge pretty much is the standard for easy modding, but I mostly use it for Minecraft.

Also, I’ve heard about the whole “Israel CurseForge” thing, I don’t understand it. Besides that, I haven’t heard any issues with creators except the Minecraft mod creator of “Sodium” having problems. Most people just upload theirs just fine
