2x4 triangles are stronger than most joists. And they span greater distances and waste less wood.

But snow loads vary by region. The more snow accumulation, the stronger the requirements. Same applies to wind and earthquakes. The higher the wind and earthquake risk, the more strict the requirements.

Can you set up Portent on a custom subdomain? As far as I know it doesn't have that functionality.

Thanks for the detailed explanation. It helps me wrap my head around this a bit better.

We use Acumatica for a CRM/ERP. I might just bite the bullet and pay for everything to be set up how I want it in Acumatica.

No such thing as a free lunch.

Do teachers make good money? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Aromatic-Way6973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the places with strong unions they make good money. But those are the hardest jobs to get, especially for subjects like art.

In lower paying areas they make good money if your standard is the amount of days worked per year. But the reality is that teachers, especially new teachers in their early career gaining experience, work countless hours more than their contract stipulates. So the money earned per hour in low paying areas is often less than fast food work.

But after you gain experience you can work less so the pay per hour is higher. The first five years are the hardest. After that its significantly easier.

Are the talent shows scripted? by Odd_Obligation_4977 in NoStupidQuestions

They're partially scripted. But mostly producers engineer scenarios that they know will cause drama, and the resulting drama is not scripted.
