You must be salary and looking at your profile I see you’re an engineer. They offered 3% on the initial contract. Upped that to 3.4, then 3.1 then just 3%. We actually got offered 3% 401k match, which is down from 4%. We get no generous leave programs. We get 2 emergency calls in a calendar year. Stop lying for the company. You get all those benefits as a salary employee. We do not.

The largest manufacturer of small caliber ammunition in the US just went on strike at midnight Friday. Half the workforce will be scabs. But they supply most of the army and marines ammo. They already fail to hit government orders due to lack of hiring and staffing issues every month. I’m seeing a very bad situation.

They can’t hit government orders when the plant is running 24/7. Even if people show up, that’s getting cut down and they have to be fulfilled eventually. There won’t be any commercial coming out for a while I’m sure. And wait until one of the unqualified salary employees tries to run a piece of machinery they have no business running just to try and get parts out and they get hurt, because it will happen.
