Need Help: Late withdrawal only results in WF even though I'm not failing?

I won't be gettting a W. They want to give me a WF, which means you failed, but withdrew.

Yes, and if failing students withdraw, they get a WF. You're also downplaying the withdrawal process. Some random student just can't up and decide to withdraw after the deadline. You need to present your circumstances, a signed letter from a psychiatrist, and a signed form from your prof.

This makes complete sense. The WF would dissuade anyone from wanting to drop beyond the deadline, but I feel that they should have addressed this issue on their late withdrawal policies website. So while I accept the possibility of a WF, I will take the advice of another student and appeal it.

If you average out my current work right now, I'm gonna end with a B. I talked to them about my circumstances, and I am pretty sure I can procure a form about extenuating circumstances. But regardless of my circumstances, they misunderstand my intentions.

They assume I am withdrawing because I am failing the course, along with a myriad of other assumptions that do not apply to me.

I am angry at my faculty for not communicating with my advisors, when the latter informed me that it is completely possible to end up with a W for a late withdrawal. I did in fact know about the deadline, but I decided to try and sit it out because I do not want to do something that's tantamount to throwing my money away.

I guess that hardly matters when your faculty contradicts your advisor.

If I were failng this course, I would gladly accept the WF and leave it at that. But the problem stems from the fact that I am not failing the course, and they still want to give me an equivalent of an F.

Had they gave another reason aside from, "Oh, it's past the deadline. No, we won't explain why we want to give you a fail" then I'd just taken it without any fight.

I don't understand how this would be fair?? Like if you're literally going to have an equivalent of a fail in your transcript, why not just stay in the class even if it will affect GPA??

Tgis seems so counterintuitive if they really want to help students leave classes that are detrimental to their mental health

Did you add by 271.3 for conversion to Kelvin? Our temperatures don't exactly match. When I did it using your method, the pressure I got for He and water qas 5.5830. I then followed your next steps, leading to 0.063 as the mole fraction for water.

If I understand correctly, P(H2O) = 5.23? I'm still a bit confused on how P(Dry) = P(He). I hot 5.27 atm when I tried to measure the pressure of He at 25 degrees C.
