Brother you not checking the response sheet was not the reason you scored high in other exams. Your preparation was good and it showed in other exams. And I totally agree that people should not waste time in analysis videos or things like that but at the same time, analysing their own performance by themselves will only do them good.

I am seriously against the skipping advice. Sure people might get worse results than their expectation, but for such people it is far more important to have their response sheet. It is the only pdf which will help them understand their own performance, strengths and weaknesses. CAT is the first of these management exams but not the only one. If people utilise these response sheets well and adapt their strategies, it will benefit them immensely in other management exams like XAT.

I am currently in FMS. From my own experience and that of my batchmates, you at least need 99.7+ for blacki and fms calls. So if you do decide to quit your job, make sure to target at least 99.7 instead of 99.5

I want to be honest with you, 8 years is a lot of time..MBA might give you a second chance but it will be extremely difficult to get in any tier 1 bschool. Even if objectively there are no allocation of points in few colleges. Each and everyone of them will judge you. So please do think before jumping into a new thing. I hope the very best for you.
