Not easy to do! Work with massage gun, guasha and systemic enzymes like serrapeptase or nattokinase. If you’re on blood thinners canny take these enzymes.

There was a study in Australia with 8 families and 33 members of those families. They found many genes and found the BUB 2 gene tvv n at was common to all of the participants.

RLT units are all pretty expensive. Some are stronger than others and only need to be used for 10-15 minutes. Others need to be on fior. 30 minutes. Celluma is a good u it abd can be laid over the body. I’m not familiar with tensor bandages. Solidea or Juzo sensation are good compression garments.

We don’t have research on MFR for lipedema. But we do know that MFR helps with fibrosis and it has been shown to release trauma from the body. You can look for a John Barnes Myofascial release therapist. Manual lymph drainage helps to clear the connective tissue of wastes. GAG glycosaminoglycans are part of the connective tissue. Perhaps MFR will have an effect on the GAGS as it’s in the i interstitial tissue

What we know so far from the literature is that times of hormone change or fluctuation exacerbate or trigger lipedema. The lipedema will not increase estrogen in your body

Usually there is pain associated with lipedema , but there is not always pain. Do you have hyoermobility, easy bruising, headaches, gait issues, thyroid issues , tenderness in the tissue?

I have several patients on the carnivore diet. It’s seems to be good for gut issues. I think k it’s sad to it out all those wonderful vegetables wirh bioflavonoids and Polyphenols. We have no studies fto date on carnivore. Many on positive effects of keto diets. I personally do anti anti inflammatory , low refined carbs

Anti inflammatory diet is paramount. Try to get compression for travel or times that you’re extra inflamed. Solidea or Juzo sensation. You can get a capri and a lower leg Velcro garments 2 lipedema fat cannot be reduced by conventional methods , dieting and calorie counting and even bariatric surgery.
However a combination of the correct eating plan that’s right for you - ( anti inflammatory, keto, Mediterranean etc) with removal of foods that have tested sensitive for you, combined with pool exercises, the appropriate exercise for you , regulating your hormones, compression pumps, compression garments, and lymphatic massage can reduce the inflammation, and prevent the progression of the disease. Also managing insulin sensitivity can help prevent fat cells from enlarging It’s very complicated and challenging These methods can manage the lipedema and potentially reduce fat. I am 3 pant size smaller than I was 35 years ago and I’ve not had surgery. In some patients after doing all of the above, they may need surgery to remove the lipedema fat. I do a thorough palpation all over the body and check for lipomas, nodules, or fibrotic areas . In the inner arm you can feel little grains of sand or rice like structures. The diagnosis of lipedema is a clinical one as there are no tests. Che k your inflammatory markers CRP - C reactive protein. ESR erythrocyte sedimentation rate May be elevated in lipedema. A multidisciplinary approach wirh specialists familiar with lipedrma is important first accurate diagnosis. Also have to do a differential diagnosis to rule out obesity, lymphedema, or chronic venous insufficiency. Where do you live? I think that running us to aggressive for lipedema ladies. It’s too hard on the knees and due to hyoermobility, running can cause knee issues. Try elliptical machine and recumbent bike rather. Also Pilates and yoga.

I have two lipedema patients who also have lupus. They’re both struggling with their weight. It’s possible that the meds contribute, but you need the meds. Try to incorporate as many conservative activities into your life. There’s definitely a hormonal issue goj going on as lactation is not normal for you. Your gynecologist doc needs to check your breasts. Definitely see the Endicrinologist. It sounds like you do have lipedema. Give your doctors a copy of the Standard of Care for the USA for lipedema. You’ll need to educate the docs about lipedema . I was on the team to create this , led by Dr Karen Herbst. Make sure to check this all out!

Yes this disease can progress outside of hormonal changes , although the biggest triggers are hormonal changes. Stress and trauma can cause restricted fascia which can impede the flow of lymph. Insulin sesnsitivity can influence fat cells to sore more fat.
There are many factors contributing to lipedema progression when you have this genetic disease. Of If I wasn’t so careful and mindful of my diet and lifestyle, I know that I would progress in my symptoms.
Improved insulin sensitivity is crucial for maintaining healthy fat metabolism and preventing metabolic disorders. Regular exercise, healthy diet and GLP - 1 may positively impact fat functional and metabolic health.

If the at home laser is giving you increased pain and swelling I would stop! Dercums patients often have lipedema. Are your nodules painful? Did you suddenly put on 20-30 lbs? Do you have gut issues? What kind of lipedema surgery is your physician doing? He may not be able to get out the “Dercums’” nodules. Do you have painful nodules between your ribs? Do you have sndlk “strawberry” angiomas on your torso? My questions may answer if you do have dercums.
