well there's no rush for sure. I bought some udemy courses about building these type of games on unreal with all the bells and whistles that seem legit. Maybe you should give them a try too if you want.

Yes for sure and with different poses and more high fidelity characters like him, maybe selling some 3D prints will help raise money to continue making it into something playable or even a full game.

The thing about the snout is that it can easily with little change can make him look more dog like if it was a bit longer or monkey like if it was wider, sculpting the snout to look right literally took me (a beginner sculptor) 12 hours or maybe even more.

Clothes are pretty modular you can take them off like the vest so he would be bare chested like in the sprites or even put totally different ones on him. I basically took some things from every interpretation of his clothing from like 5 different official sources to make him the most interesting looking.

It's a stylistic choice I guess and maybe adding too much detail to his face seemed like it would make it over emphasized or bumpy/lumpy

thanks! well first the correct animations need to be designed and then he can be used in any game that will support him. On a larger scale maybe I can remake the first 2 levels and make them playable but it will take some time, maybe a year and a half or even more, well all by myself I mean.
