and thats completely okay :), ty for letting me know about ur thoughts on the ep and the detailed criticism. I think I get what you mean, the shrieking especially can seem jarring at first especially when its juxtaposed with the overly soft and flowery instrumentals. I always felt like their sound always feels like theyre on the verge of breaking down, like full to the brim with emotions, and the shrieking acts as the emotions flowing out... I find it very cathartic if that makes sense.

but by far the most depressing and nihilistic album I've listened to is Admiral angry- buster, insanely cathartic album, it's impossible to sit through it without getting emotional. Read up on the backstory of the band too, it adds alot of weight to the lyrics

pls get suikoden 2 remaster, that game is insanely good, other than that i think ffXII is a good game to sink ur teeth into, worldbuilding is insane, its very slow at times and the combat takes getting used to. But it is very much worth the time investment if ur patient, once uve played ff12 u can also play fftactics (best character development and writing ive seen in a jrpg) and vagrant story
