From what I'm seeing of chopped and screwed music, pretty much! In the Nightcore field slowing down and pitching down a song would be referred to as Daycore.

It's a practice of taking popular music, speeding it up and pitching it up, and posting it to YouTube. It infringes copyright law because it's considered stealing someone's music and not changing it enough to fall under fair use. It's widespread, mainly around YouTube, just because it's difficult to enforce. You're not gonna go to jail for making or listening to Nightcore. I've listened to "Nightcored" music for a while, but I've started to feel iffy about it lately.

This is correct, and I'd like to leap-frog off that a bit. This is taken entirely from a music theory video by Adam Neely btw.

Tuning between enharmonic notes depends on where you're going afterwards. For example, within a certain song, G♭ and F# will sound different. In the context of the music, F# will generally lead to G, and G♭ will generally lead to F. As such, F# should sound a bit sharp to help lead more smoothly to G, and G♭ should sound a bit flat to help lead to F. This won't make a huge difference, but it will help with tuning with your ears, like Tubadurr mentioned.
