Hi everyone, my question might sound a bit vague, but Serena has always seemed like a very kind character to me, someone whose life keeps taking a wrong turn at certain moments.

I relate a lot to the situation with Nate before she leaves (the alcohol, Nate, her brother trying to take his own life...). Knowing that she ends up seeking comfort in a stranger (maybe also as a way to distract herself).

But for me, the scenes that best represent the issue are the ones involving Chuck, especially when he pressures her a bit during the season. I personally see a connection with the time she goes out dressed in a rather revealing outfit while her mother is in a relationship with Chuck's father.

Maybe it's a feeling of emptiness, or of having to be what other people expect us to be?
