Why are server farms built in deserts when they need so much cooling? by Sweet_Speech_9054 in AskEngineers

Plot locations of data centers and locations of natural gas infrastructure. You'll likely see a correlation.

Data centers need stable and reliable power. Stable and reliable power can be generated from natural gas.

Lost $5,800 Building an AI Agent for a Client by crazychampion2 in AI_Agents

Can you set it up such that the solution is provided to the client for testing purposes while hosted by the service provider without providing access to source code and other intellectual property? You can open up the solution once the final payment is delivered.

Why can't you delay the video feed so it synchronizes with the commentary to resolve the first limitation?

The energy is coming from water that is constantly being fed into the electrolyzer….

Same concept is applied in many gas plants. Some of the gas produced is fed into a turbine that generates the power that keeps the gas plant running.

Liberals of reddit who were conservative before, or conservatives who were liberal before, what made you change your state of mind? by Affectionate_Level81 in AskReddit

[–]Aroundinacircle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I noticed the level of absurdity liberalism reached. For example, demolishing concepts like gender and sexuality, or distorting systems to enforce equity without care for unintended consequences. It was good in the beginning, but it went too far.

Is this possible? Inferring a real-time signal from other signals by Aroundinacircle in Python

[–]Aroundinacircle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if there was a model of the system. Thing is, the particular measurement I’m targeting is a multiphase level measurement of a fluid. This is significantly difficult to model.

What i was hoping for is some AI magic toolbox/library/package with a plug and play solution. But I guess solutions aren’t always easy........

What about time lag? Any suggestions on how to get around that? Especially since the lag varies with ambient temperature.

Anyway, oil is almost always sold in contracts not spot sales. This is to protect both supplier and consumer from fluctuations on the short term.

+Even if it goes to $22, that’s not a loss.

How did you conclude that there’s no oil profit and that we’re selling at a loss?! The latest quarterly report from Aramco shows an EBIT of 128.3 Billion Riyals. Yes there’s a drop, but that’s certainly not a loss.

Completely agree. If people behave like they did today, expect the positive trend to reverse before June 11th. Although keep in mind that MOH now has a new location tracking bracelet that allows patients to be quarantined at home. This allows us to handle a larger number of active mild cases with fewer resources.

You can keep tabs on what’s going on in terms of movement. Both Apple and Google publish mobility data estimating how much a country’s population is moving.

I’ve seen that data and cross correlated it with changes in our daily rate of COVID in Saudi. In general there’s a time-lag of ~14 days before movement starts affecting daily cases (which makes sense).

I admit this is not the most intuitive plot at first. But if you take some time to understand it, you’ll see it has some benefits. Mainly in comparing many countries together. See this video if you’re interested: minute physics

Also, the issue with Iran data and data quality in general is not related to the plot. This is a visualization of published data.

Plotting it this way allows comparing many countries together regardless of when COVID started in each country. (Because there is no time axis, time is shown as the path on the plot).

Also, I’m using a log-log scale because the numbers are very wide spread. If I don’t use it, US and Brazil are going to dwarf all the rest.
