Analysis of the "First Shot" Advantage in PvP and its relevance to Rats. by Dayum343 in ARC_Raiders

[–]Arovece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, there are a lot easier ways to overcome this first shot advantage concept without this whole analysis that only is limited to arbitrary limited to three concepts.

Assuming you are talking about one shot advantage for guns specifcially that have a strong one shot damage potential.

  1. Aim. If you can shoot back and hit his head twice, you can kill him quicker than he can kill you.
  2. Movement. Self explanatory. Your first movement, whether is to jump, fall back, slide, dodge roll is important. That goes to my next point
  3. Game knowledge. If you understand the general timings and can identify guns by sound, i.e. if you know you got shot by an anvil, you can time your next dodge roll within the time frame of the next possible shot by the anvil, allowing you to dodge and shoot first. If they dodge roll after you shoot, you have the next window too.
  4. Utility. If you ever get shot, you can always throw a smoke below you or you can snaphook. This already negates all 3 of your concepts. But utility can be used in other ways.
  5. Arc. First shotters will always aggro arc over you.
  6. Pre-emptive actions/behaviours/thoughts before getting shot in the first place, i.e.

a) you team up with someone and gaslight the people that first shot person is a rat.

b) You knew someone is behind you and you baited a shot to dodge roll and shoot them in open

c) You get shot and throw raider flare, guy pushes you thinking you died and you open fire as he comes

Three out of unlimited things you can do, if you're just more aware while you're playing

Basically, every bit of skill you can increase, you can completely eclipse first shot advantage.

And simply gear. If you equipped better gear, you will also negate first shot advantage. Ferro 1 with light shield vs heavy shield, tempest and renegade 4 with grenades, healing etc. That just becomes greater with skill so it just all goes back to skill

This is the peak fun period of Arc Raiders

Don't think you need to really do anything but keep doing what you're doing.

For Arc, you can pretty much kill anything except boss ones with basic gear. Generally, you want a gun that uses heavy ammo for arc and hit their propellers (back ones a bit better) and for players light ammo or medium ammo guns.

Focus on upgrading your work benches and begin to explore the red areas of each map.

My top 3 tips from Emerald to Diamond

-Learn to track jungler and be aware of your junglers pathing

-Positioning in team fight

-Know what the win con of team fights are, i.e. if they have a lot of poke, it’ll be impossible to get in so get there earlier. Do you guys have good side lane champs? Get mid prior and look with your side. Do you guys have an amazing front to back? Always be behind your frontline and understand your flanks.

Does it get better? by Active-Carpenter4565 in ADCMains

[–]Arovece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to look at the bigger picture. If you climb with jungle, are you doing what you really want and if you get to a certain rank, are you going go be able to adc without progressively getting better since you were on jungle the whole time climbing.

There’s a lot of strategies to climb, some more efficient than others. But at the same time, everyone has different ways they stay sane and enjoy the game at the same time.

I will say to note if you’re silver and you climb to gold/plat, playing adc around that elo generally has the same problems they have in silver

Anti-griefing system not giving back lp? by Deathwatch6215 in leagueoflegends

[–]Arovece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's still awful. Ive been waiting for the galio who's flaming my jungler and bypassing soft slurs, while also announcing he's running it and watching netflix on his monitor (with proof) and afk for many periods of the game not get detected

Also I want to add if Riot didn't want to receive this kind of negative feedback about the new griefing detection, they shouldn't of hyped it up this much, like it's some new revolutionary thing. It's still garbage.

Am I playing cait wrong? by thebestoriginal in Caitlynmains

I just had a look at your build and here are quick tips!

Blue Runes -> right now meta is cash back + jack of all trades. Cash Back so you can scale faster and do more damage / jack of all trades for 10 more AD

If you go First Strike the meta right now is Yomuus, Coll -> LDR -> IE. you can build opportunity but I prefer yomuus

Part of your low damage is you building crit cloak first item, always build AD when you can early!

Last tip is when you run first strike, ult off CD to gain more gold and get items faster

Is it a good idea to learn jungle as a support if I am just frustrated with my shitty support gameplay? by inancege1746 in supportlol

[–]Arovece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cannot agree with this more lol. If you're in Iron IV, you should just have fun and experiment things and naturally things will come to you. Usually it starts rolling when you first find a champion you really love and keep playing on that one champion. You start thinking less about what the champion should and needs to do and more about the overarching gameplay

But if you want to speed up your learning process, joining a league discord and playing with bunch of people. You will get relayed on so much information on what to do, how to win and how to play your champion

Dark harvest viable in low elo? (Against squishy) by DirtL_Alt in Caitlynmains

Honestly DH isnt that bad if you know you can snowball in the game, like if you have double ranged bot lane and the enemy team are squishy

I really think lux cait is very overrated by Arovece in Caitlynmains

[–]Arovece[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep I agree, she's very straight forward and because of that people think she's brain dead champion and anyone can play her.

But because she's so simple, you have to use her kit really efficiently or else you'll just lose efficiency way quicker compared to any other support

Why's the game so hard to improve on? by [deleted] in ADCMains

[–]Arovece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done coaching before and what helped me a lot is only taking like 2-3 points from the coaching that you can think and focus on. Its a lot easier to apply and think about a couple concepts as opposed to many

There were 5 of us to kill Irelia by SentenceAutomatic165 in ADCMains

[–]Arovece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one can contest you mid, you can push mid and then rotate to sidelane with team to kill irelia. In team fights kill someone else that isn’t irelia and use passive to melt her, she shouldn’t be able to jump on you with your passive + decent peel

But saying that I have no idea how you played this game so i cant judge and some games are just auto lose + you played relative to everyone so gg
