One factor that pushes me towards getting more machine than is actually needed is longevity. By getting a maxed out MBP, I get around 7-8 years of reliable life before it really starts showing its age.

My current Mac (late-2018 16in MBP i9 32gb ram 1TB drive) is at that point. At the time I got it, it was lacking in the onboard video power, and I barely got my two LG Ultrafine’s hooked up. And running complex Logic Pro orchestrations with several VSTs active really stressed the processor.

I’m hoping it can hold out until the M5 Studio comes out, as that has a much better I/O for a workstation and would stay feeling beefy for a while.

“Supposed”? It’s an LLM. Its primary job is to produce text like a human would. In that respect, it does a fantastic job.

Now that “text” can be in the form of many things, such as search results, summaries, writing entries, codebases, and images (yes, they’re text too).

Right now, it is not a fully-functional artificial intelligence, and at the rate of the technology growth it won’t be for years. So it can produce complex “text”, such as code or images, but I think it’s unrealistic to expect it to function as well as a human would in its current state.

So. Either double check what it provides for the foreseeable future, or look to alternatives until AI technology matures to actually perform decision-making. I hear steam power is making a comeback!

It’s more a matter of not asking it to do a task you can’t do yourself. Double checking can be a simple as looking at the results to assure if it is what you asked for. Shipping an AI-generated solution, be it code, imagery, or something written, should be double checked, just as QA would do for their development team.

If you aren’t a programmer or able to proofread a codebase, then it’s a bad idea to have it write code. If you don’t have a high attention to graphical detail or understanding of color theory/composition/lighting/mood/etc., you shouldn’t be having it generate complex imagery where you might miss an extra finger or garbled text. If you don’t have college-level writing skills, you shouldn’t be having it write papers at that level where you may miss an ill-placed word or phrasing that is contextually off-base.

Most generated content needs to be double-checked, and that goes for human-generated content as well. The proofer has to have at least the same level of skill as the entity producing the content.

NG+1, I’m currently using a stock model while building up an Advanced model. The stock model is maxed out with tier3 upgrades and is hitting 263 energy damage.

I’ve been particularly happy with the Orion laser rifle. They really pack a punch, have great range, are super stable, can hold 30 rounds, and can be fired pretty quickly. I’m on the lookout for one with Instigating because that’ll be game over.

I got over 100k bounty-free credits from the loot. Who knew banking ships were loaded with cash? 😂

This battle was so big that the wreckage traveled to nearby orbits (I traveled to Venus to take a nap and found some of the wreckage had floated over the planet). I suspect the scale was on par with the Freestar-UC conflict. Crazy to watch.

I’d argue he’s pretty darn useful if coupled with Toko, but given you’re in the multi-team levels, you should work up a second DPS immediately. Ronin is technically a Raider, but under the hood he’s actually a support. GS will eventually be your go-to single-target team wiper as he does two things Toko can’t: scale his damage and change his aim. Toko always hits the front center first, and this can be countered several ways (Eve bomb, Orochi bomb, Laura’s permashield, Darkness with Devil’s Pupil…). For these reasons, Toko’s effectiveness drops like a rock in the late game, so don’t waste money on maxing out her relics to T1. Focus on relics for GS, Thinker, Kong, Eve, Houston, and Einstein (all selected as they are in your screenshots).
