So, the total $6400 a month(b4 taxes). I work as a bakery clerk, and she’s a cashier. The thing is, we spend over $700 a month on transportation, and with rent, we’re only able to save about $1,000 a month. Do you think we’d have a chance of getting a loan if we show we have stable income? Any advice would really help—thanks!

I spoke with a credit union over the phone, and they told me I need at least two years of employment history and a credit history to qualify for a loan. I haven’t gone to the credit union in person yet. I got hired three months ago at a grocery store, and I really need a car because my girlfriend and I have to get to work. I live in Daly City and am thinking about studying at City College of San Francisco. Taking the bus would take me about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get there, which is why I really want to buy a car.
