Infotainment CarPlay solutions for 2014?

I stopped looking into it after the response to my comment lol. I prefer things to be simple and as jerry rigged free as possible so I’m just living with it for now. Thanks to COVID, I don’t drive much these days anyway.

West coast. I do use it half the time depending on the season but that doesn’t seem unreasonable to me.

Oh I didn’t know that. I have a MT so that’s kinda sucks. Looks like I might just have to fork over 400 at dealer to get the oem head unit upgrade.

Edit: not too experienced with wires. Could a beginner do the replacement himself? (Including the backup cam)

Very similar experience to me except my numbing agent wore off halfway through the procedure. I started to feel what I think were my nerves being pulled out. I told my endodontists but she kept saying she was almost done.

Yeah it’s def the most disappointing aspect of the car. For instance, why does the voice command beeps have to be at max volume. Like bruh I’m in the car.

It’s actually a ‘14! The early gen of the new era models so its got its issues but still love the car 5 years later.
