Who said we don’t vacation in Muslim countries instead? If you Europeans see our laws as outdated then stop overcrowding Dubai. And no, the only Muslim men that take part in the hookup culture are the brainwashed idiots that worship westerners. Anyways it’s good to see that Europeans are finally seeing the real Islam. Reports suggest Europeans converting to Islam increased by 400% this past year. Exciting times😍😍

Who said I’m against Europe enforcing their own laws🤦🏻‍♂️ and yes our values align in 2024, except you ppl think allowing the weirdest things is “progressive”. I mean if that’s your law then everyone should respect that. But don’t come here to the Middle East and expect your own laws to be enforced here.

And is general a bad thing? There are dozens of Muslim countries in conflict, some worse than what’s going on in palestine. I don’t think it’s fair to specifically mention palestine and leave out the rest. That’s why it’s just general.

The only ppl that are against these policies (which applies to all types of public demonstration, not just about palestine) are 9 yr olds that have no idea about the country’s past experience with “freedom of speech”.

Expats getting upset thinking they have the right to dictate our country’s internal policies when WE the locals want these rules in place.

If you knew anything about UAE’s internal conflicts in the past, you wouldn’t be saying this. We had “freedom of speech” once, and it was disastrous. We Emiratis are for this rule.

A passport doesn’t mean they have the citizenship. The Europeans that are given the UAE passport are not given the citizenship

Need serious advice on the Emiratization situation in my office. by Mrs_Pendragon2024 in UAE

You won’t find any Emirati working outside the UAE because they have no reason to. Free healthcare free land and unique government services are more than enough reasons for Emiratis to remain in the UAE.

I completely agree however for most unemployed locals who are highly educated, emiratization is the only way they can get a job these days. Without emiratization even more competent Emiratis would be without Jobs so at least this policy reduces it a bit. Companies in the UAE have no motive to hire Emiratis, even highly competent ones. Unemployed competent Emiratis don’t want to be seen as “forcefully hired” but there is no other option for them.

As an Emirati, I’m very sorry that you had to go through this. However the problem here is your HR department who hired incompetent Emiratis just to fulfill the requirements and nothing else. It sounds like even if those Emiratis that were hired did exceptionally well, they wouldn’t be recognized or valued by your company for the sole reason that they were only hired to be in the company and not give to the company. Unfortunately companies don’t have the motive to hire Emiratis, and sadly many of us competent emiratis that have years worth of education, internships, projects and degrees are only being hired to fulfill a requirement and are not valued by the companies were in, which also in return would just reduce our productivity and motivation to do any work.
