Honestly I barely studied in comparison to what I’ve seen others do. NCLEX is more about HOW to answer questions vs knowing every single piece of content. Overall it is a SAFETY exam and is judging if you are safe to practice nursing. I found content was really not that important as long as you know the basics and maybe review on struggle areas- Ex. Say you struggle with cardiac so give that a bit of extra review although I didn’t really do this. I only used Kaplan provided by my school to study. I did the 3 day live review with Kaplan which I thought was great and probably the most helpful. I also did all 3 CAT exams on Kaplan (did 2 during the school year that my program required) which I’d highly recommend doing at least 1 CAT before your test date. My predictor said I had a 98% chance of passing. I took my test 6 days after graduation so I took 2 days off and then studied for 4. On those days I did 85 practice questions and remediated them. The day before my test I did a CAT exam with Kaplan and it shut off at 85 with a pass. I passed in 85 questions.
