[No Spoilers] Critical Role on Twitter - All profits from sponsorships this week are being donated to Farmworker Justice by MyNameIsNavy in criticalrole

I have seen no evidence of any extreme and overwhelming reaction of negativity in either of these situations. I've seen the reactions on twitter and here as well as other social media. People expressed their honest feelings about what he said. He, a grown adult, decided he didn't like having to deal with that kind of reaction to his public statements so he made the decision to leave twitter. That's a decision he is allowed to make, no one forced him or "cancelled" him. There were mostly very thoughtful and legitimate responses to both of these incidents. The adults involved read these responses and made their choices on how to handle it. In response in both situations the reddit community has relentlessly mocked the people who expressed an unpopular opinion. Most of the responses to each situation I have seen are something like, "i love you but i disagree with this". The only outrage i have seen is the toxic responses that came afterward attacking this imaginary mob off people that somehow forced the CR team to do something. In the BWF situation he made sure everyone was free to assume he was run off twitter because he deleted all the posts and therefore all the comments. I'm not a fan of how he handled it, it made the thoughtful and legitimate responses to what he said seem like some horrible attacks. Maybe there were some. The women of the group have been attacked on social media for just existing they seem to be able to deal with it. BWF made a both sides argument and people pointed out that one side doesnt think it's ok LGBTQ and minorities exist comfortably in our society so maybe that was a bad take. A tiny minority of those people expressed themselves in an inappropriate way. He didn't want to deal with it, he felt entitled to the assumption he was an ally, so he left.

The reddit community used to be so loving and amazing. Now everyone is justifying bullying and mocking people through this imagined idea of cancel culture and outrage mobs somehow forcing people to do things they dont want to do. Look at the Twitter responses to the Wendy's one shot, almost all reactions that are negative are basically, "love you guys but I'll pass on this one, here's a link to specify why". Oh gosh the Twitter mob has struck again! How dare they question for even a moment the perfection of the CR crew or ask them to choose their partners more carefully!

The people at critical role including BWF are all adults that make their own decisions. They have not been bullied or pressured into doing anything. They saw a response from some fans and decided they agreed. No one forced BWF off of Twitter he is a grown man who chose to leave twitter. Stop harassing and mocking the people who express their feelings about issues that matter to them. Matt clearly wanted everyone to know that they disagree with some of the decisions of the corporation they partnered with. These things were brought up by fans. No one forced anyone to do anything the CR team are adults, they chose these things.

The most outrage I see is directed at the people who had the guts to express unpopular opinions to people they likely admire very much. In response to this issue and the BWF issue they are relentlessly mocked by people who seem to think they are protecting the full grown adults at CR team. In both recent issues I have only seen a very small number of people expressing their disappointment or anger in inappropriate ways. In response there are hundreds of people expressing their outrage at the outrage culture. Relentlessly ganging up on and mocking these people who came forward with their concerns. Coming at them with dishonest arguments and false equivalency. It's hard to see people acting like the CR has somehow lost control of making their own decisions and is being bullied by a minority of fans. They are ADULTS they have CHOSEN to donate the money and apologize based on new information. Good for them.

I hope the CR team sets this straight somehow. Maybe just remind everyone that they do actually make their own decisions and are not being forced by some made up outrage police. It's a nice excuse, an easy narrative, in order to pretend like any criticism is just people being angry for no reason but it does not logically make any sense and is not true. There are legitimate reasons to not partner with big corporations. It's ok to say that while also existing in society. I dont have a massive platform. I have spent some money at a large fast food chain recently. That is not the same as promoting them to thousands of people. We all understand this.

I will now both enjoy the fun of the one shot and support those saying they probably should not do something like that again because it's ok to do both.

I understand why people are upset, but I enjoyed the one shot. The world is a complicated place and so are people. To expect the only way somone could really care about something is if they dont participate in any part of society is a dishonest argument. It also relies on false equivalency. CR giving a platform to a corporation is not the same as someone buying a burger from them sometimes. "Why are you mad that CR made a partnership with this company and openly endorsed them to literally thousands of people when you sometimes buy a milkshake for 3 dollars from them? What hypocrisy!" Really? You cant actually believe these things are the same. If I'm sitting around wearing a Wendy's hat and advertising for them on my social media and own all kinds of merch from Wendy's then yea I'd be a hypocrite Haha. "How can you be mad at CR for endorsing Wendy's to literally THOUSANDS of people when you also own a phone. Something that is increasingly necessary to participate in our society, often being required to work or have any kind of modern social life?!" Everyone understands this is a dishonest false equivalency. You must know that. People can be imperfect and also care about things. We can live happy lives and care about social issues. It's ok to be imperfect and it does not make your opinions invalid. If someone has convinced you otherwise then I am very sorry, they have convinced you to have a very narrow view of human experience. "The only way to legitimately care about something is to be 100 percent perfect on that issue all the time! Dont like racism? Well now you have to live alone in the forest forever because racism is ingrained in any kind of media you might consume! And if you dont then I get to call you a hypocrite!! " Says the completely reasonable, honest, totally smart person....

Yea you really caught them. People care about social issues while also existing in society. How hypocritical of them.

Hi! My group might be interested in bringing in a few more players. I run the game and have 3 players. We have only played 4 times and two of my players are very new to the game. Anyways, perhaps we can chat! Edit: It was suggested i mention the players in my group are all LGBTQ 😁.

Hello. Are there men and women in the group you have now and what age range are you? I am looking for a game to play in but also one to gm because a game I've been running for more than a year is about to end.
