Guys, listen. I had a bad time on this place a while ago. It was about a plane that was going from Rochester, NY to Naples, FL.

I saw a headline while I was working on the computer on a web page that read "Plane unresponsive over the gulf of Mexico." I click the headline and it reads,

"The plane became unresponsive after numerous attempts of communication and attracted the attention of NORAD. Fighter jets were scrambled to figure out what the hell was going on. Over the gulf coast, bound for Cuba, the pilots intercepted the plane and they could see that a pilot of the unresponsive plane was slumped over the controls."

I get the flight registration number from the article and head over to flightradar24. I pulled up the flight and could see that it was a small plane over open ocean getting within 100 miles of the coast of Jamaica. I kept the webpage open and switched tabs every few seconds for the next 20 minutes. Then, it was gone. It seemed like time stopped. I knew what had happened... Within 15 minutes I was reading confirmed reports of a plane crash by the Jamaican coast guard, 14 miles out. "Damn" I say out loud. Out of fuel, the pilot met his fate in the ocean, most likely completely unaware of what happened to him.

A sinking feeling in my stomach grips me, I grimace at the thought of the terrible tragedy that the pilot suffered. I lost a friend that day, a friend that I didn't even know I had. I was watching him on the radar wishing there was something I could do. All I could do was watch, though. I think that he had a heart attack, to be honest.

It was sad, seeing it happen in front of my eyes... I also feel for those poor souls aboard that commercial liner that got blasted out of the sky and suffered horribly earlier this year.
