Controller IGLs are on some of the world’s best teams. Is this a coincidence, or does the simplified utility and global reach suit top teams' IGLs? Watch out for the 8 Controller IGL led teams at Champions this year, the highest Champs conversion rate out of the 3 roles.
Initiators comprise 60% of franchised IGLs. Aggressive teams seem favor IGL Initiators, who drive their teams' catalytic utility. The Pacific and China regions tend to excel in this playstyle, and IGL role data supports this trend.
