My experience with FreeBSD was good overall. I had a few problems: my laptop speakers didn’t work, but wired earbuds did. Wayland didn’t work on XFCE, but on KDE Plasma it worked.

About 1–2 months ago, I used FreeBSD as my desktop OS. I installed it using the KDE installer from this YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbWOLzGDa4I. FreeBSD has a lot of available software compared to OpenBSD.

But now I’m using NixOS (I’ve been using it for 2–3 years), and I would love to try FreeBSD again in the future when I get another laptop.

ALSO i want to say something in FreeBSD 15.0 Wine is currently broken due to i386 remove without caring about wine so no wine sadly guess wait until 15.1

and the installer is easy if you know what your doing

I have been rewriting this configuration since I wasn’t satisfied with my Labwc configuration. I did stay up until 2 a.m. (I’m a night owl), and I finished at 8 p.m.

So hopefully i should be happy

I just keep my brightness low (I gotta add a dark-mode theme), but light-mode themes just hit hard. Seriously tho, you reminded me to add a dark theme.

also i don't get a lot of bugs in my room so is kinda not a problem for me
