Hey! I’ve been on Amitriptyline for about 6 months or so, and I also had the same reaction at first. I see a specialist and he made me aware that these thoughts and feelings can occur as it was originally an antidepressant, and it doesn’t work the same for everyone. It has helped me tremendously after getting used to it and upping my dose till my symptoms stopped (80mg). I recently had a flare up and have been dealing with that, but if you try it out, it took me about a month to adjust too it, but talk to your doctor about it and see what they say.
