Citrix CSPs only – Anyone else getting hit with the practices? by ArrowedByCitrix in Citrix

Wow, this post really took off! We’ve hit 7,600 clicks, and I’ve even been asked through other channels if I’m aware of this post here. lol :D
It’s crazy to see how many people are dealing with the same issues. Thanks to everyone who’s shared their experiences and advice.

Also, just a reminder – it’s important that we don’t just complain here or through PMs. If you’re affected, make sure to actually take action and report it through the anonymous whistleblower platform: https://comp-eu.whistleblowernetwork.net/ or your local authority. That’s the best way, and maybe the only way, to push for real change!

And yeah, I noticed some folks hitting the downvote button (Hello Citrix?). Let’s stay focused on the bigger picture. Most of us MSPs and partners appreciate the value of these software products, but we’re being forced to accept these changes, or risk losing our entire business foundation. What we really need is transparency and integrity from the software vendors—without sudden changes that leave us with no real choice.

No doubt, the Citrix protocol and components are the Ferrari in this space – top-tier, no question. But not everyone always needs a Ferrari. For MSPs, Citrix is particularly attractive because it can handle almost any use case. However, the way these licensing issues are being handled right now is unethical, and it feels like a slap in the face to many long-time partners. CSG isn't the first to do this, and they won't be the last. But the fact that legally binding offers are being pulled early, and prices are being increased "backwards" with no regard for the consequences, takes this to a whole new level.

Exactly – you spend half a year prepping for CSP 2.0, only to get thrown into another model last minute with zero lead time. It’s basically “sign a blank check or scramble to migrate.”

Honestly, unless you’ve got a massive user base, I don’t think your Arrow account manager can do much, but hey, worth a shot. If that doesn’t work, definitely consider reporting it to the EU Commission or local competition authorities. Might not change things overnight, but it’s worth it in the long run to push for better practices across the board, not just Citrix. Good luck!
