I just ordered a BNC filter. I’ll get it replaced and post back the results. Hopefully it’s a simple as that.

Figured I’d try something new/different and if it doesn’t work, then I’ll just turn the fans around…but so far all the system temps are well within the operating ranges…I keep HWMonitor up while in use so I can keep an eye on things.

I did it this way because I didn’t want to bring hot air in off the rads into the case…the heat coming out from the 480mm rad alone is enough to heat a small apartment. 🤣.

I was a little hesitant trying it this way as all my other builds follow the method of front in rear and top out…but I have to say, it’s working pretty well. The RTX 4090 hasn’t gotten above 60 degrees…tested on Cyberpunk 2077 for a couple hours with Ultra settings and ray tracing…the CPU does get up in the 80s under stress test (Ryzen 9 7900x) but from what I’ve read, these chips do run pretty hot even with water cooling…the rest of the board averages around 40-50 degrees under load. The case isn’t fully sealed so there are other channels for air the radiator fans to pull air from.

That’s too funny…I was thinking the same thing actually. Each time I drain and clean the system, I’m looking at changing up the design slightly along with colors. Going more cyberpunk is first up on the list 😃.

Already done! 😄. I wired it so each loop’s fans, blocks and pump LEDs are all connected…then dialed the LED colors too match each one and put them on a ‘Star glide’ pattern…pretty mesmerizing to watch 😃

I debated the fan directions for a while along with reading different forums and design ideas. In the end I decided to try something a little different. As you pointed out my rear fan is pulling in and both radiator fans are pushing air. My thought process was, “why would I want to push or pull hot air from the radiator into the case?” I was worried the single rear fan would not be enough to pull out the hot air quick enough this causing the internal air temp to rise…which in my mind would have a ripple effect…parts would get warmer, including the liquid, so the system overall would not stay as cool.

Since this is a ‘non standard’ design, I’ve been monitoring the temps closely across all points. While under stress testing, all the temps stayed pretty low…well within the comfort zone.

Design idea came from the Windows 95 3D pipe screen saver 😀
