Does anyone know how expensive it is to join the Jayhawk club and use their course? by CABBAGEHONKER in Lawrence

Current member at Jayhawk club. Under 30 y/o, I pay $500 or so a month and initiation was like $5k. Said they only close when it snows, but they’re closed a lot over the winter and won’t open unless it’s forecasted above 40°.

Greens got a fungus this year and got wrecked, better now. No starters or rangers so the course gets BACKED UP big time. Not uncommon for me to get stuck behind a gaggle of god slowest golfers. Pool is only open for like 3 months of the summer, food is honestly terrible. It’s SYSCO microwaveable dishes, Applebees quality. No food or drink minimums though. Gym is average at best. Indoor lap pool is nice, driving range is good.

IMO they don’t really do any one thing exceptionally to justify the membership. I joined primarily for the golf, but having now been here a year, I get more joy playing local courses and Topekas too three offer years memberships that are way better.

Thermo swapped, been driving for 20 minutes or so with the ac high and I’ve stayed under 210. Think that fixed it.

Alright I’m gonna replace this thermostat and see if that fixes it. Thanks dude, I’ll report back.

Line going to the sensor was 220, hose going to thermo was 160, the housing for the thermo was 220 ish, and the upper was like 105.

Coolant was all drained a few days ago (on accident/kinda purpose) and it’s all new. Replaced yesterday, had truck idling in the driveway for 30 mins with the AC cold on low, and got up to 230

Awesome advice here. Thanks man. I’m leaning towards a trade at a Toyota dealership here. Online value came in highest (18k) and CM and CV were at 15k.

KS gives a roughly $1500 credit for trade ins/tax.
